Couple questions- do they have boogie boards or surf boards you can rent? Also, do the life guards prevent you from going in the water if it’s red flag?
Can't wait to go back to cancun. We're going to be there in April 2023 for my loves 40th birthday. She has never been and we are both so excited to make memories together and we're actually staying at Laguna Suites spa and golf (all-inclusive), which is one of Sunset Royal's sister resorts, and you're allowed to use Sunset Royal and the other two resorts Sunset Marina and Ocean Spa, and all their amenities. Which is pretty awesome. It's going to be a blast.

Is the sunset marina going there is also free including in the inclusive package?
It is! We used it as a free taxi to get closer to our ferry to Isla Mujeres :)

We did not go to Chichen Itza on this visit, but there are many tour companies offering day trips by charter bus. You shouldn't have a problem finding one :)

is everything all inclusive and free at the sister properties such as the breakfast at Sunset Marina all other properties and restaurants? I just want to make sure I am 100% clear on this thanks
Yes they are! We went to multiple restaurants at different properties.
Thanks for this video! I will be staying here in February! How was the transportation? Did you all rent a car? How did you get from the airport to the hotel? I did read about a bus service will have to do a little more research. I’m trying not to rent a car. What presentation were you referring to? If you could put me in contact with the local guy that will be great.
Hey Shuga. There are very cheap former schools busses that run up and down the main strip all day and night long. We used them multiple times. Otherwise, there will be plenty of taxis seeking your business. A taxi would be easiest from the airport, I don't believe there is an airport pickup for Sunset Royal, but I'd inquire. And the presentation is a 2hour presentation where they try and sell you a membership to their hotels in exchange for a few perks. will the shuttle take you back to the airport on the day of your departure?
That is a great question, Dirk. We arrived via bus, so am not sure about the shuttle service to and from tha airport.
How far are the night clubs from that hotel?
You can walk to the night clubs in 15-20 minutes. Or hop on one of the public busses for 10 pesos!
Where did you exchange currency?
Are the rooms airconditioned?
Yes!
Do they provide Covid testing?
There wasn't a testing site at the hotel, but there were dozens close by. And testing is no longer required to enter the USA, if that is where you are returning to
Do they harrass you to buy memberships??
haha yes, they will encourage you to attend a 2 hr session where they will indeed try to sell you a membership. It may not be the best 2 hours you spend on vacation, but it was well worth it for us because of the "all-inclusive" they tagged onto some of our days. Up to you, tho :)
