He updated a video's description (I believe it's his Turtles Forever review video) saying that he's since watched the 2003 TMNT and actually rather enjoyed it, at least up until a certain season I think. Ironically, this made him dislike Turtles Forever even more because he realized (like how I did earlier) that the 2003 Turtles were also acting out of character. Turtles Forever really feels like it has two totally different groups of Turtles and not the '87 and '03 groups.
Guess they couldn't decide between a TMNT knock-off or a Thundercats one, so they made it a little of both. That or they're mutant versions of the Lion-Turtle from Avatar.
It was nice of them to suggest buying the legit figures. They're like the precursor to the, "If you like this, BUY IT!" torrent providers. Also, I'm glad Mikey finally switched to a greatsword. Had to respec his build to have more strength, but it was worth it.

The things in the straps on their chests are called kunai. They were originally farming implements which ninja in feudal Japan repurposed as weapons and climbing tools. You were very close when you guessed that they might be throwing daggers as, when used as a weapon, kunai functioned pretty much exactly the same as a throwing knife.
A new Turtle named after Jack Kirby would actually be pretty neat. Just to throw some comparatively modern artists into the naming scheme to spice things up once in a while. Not TOO modern though, wait for a bit of time to pass to prove their long-term influence on the world.
Picasso, Mondrian, Delaunay, Kandinsky, Matisse, Braque... Anyone from the early-to-mid 20th century would fit the bill at this point. I seem to also remember a really high-quality fancomic with a new turtle named Renoir.

I honestly like their head sculpts, they kind of remind me of the lion statues outside of east-asian temples. I'd definitely use them for customizations if I got my hands on them.
I have an older version of that sword in my home from way back in the late 90s. Its all one piece of very durable hard plastic, it doesn't have the lion face, its all yellow. By the looks of it I think it's from a cheap chinese knockoff of a Sentai Megazord or something like that.

These are some weird molds - the faces look like they are based on early iteration of Godzilla, actually - so there is a decent chance these are some weird Frankenstein's monster molds, put together from several other figures, re-molded and modified here and there.
I really thought Phelous will take powerful laser pointer from ali, that can actually can burn materials, and will cut Catelangelo's hand off (since it's already broken) Also, they kinda fit to TMNT, you can imagine that it's evil hybrid of turtle and cheetahman!
