    The way someone looks at profit is quite subjective. More than just the financial earnings, I think there is the element of passion and satisfaction that comes with the freedom of doing something you love which counts the most.

    Try making black soldier fly larvae for feeds to cut down on production cost.

  • @adamjin777
    @adamjin777 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    Let's say your birds start laying eggs at 17-80 weeks @ a monthly income of 4850 usd. That would be 14.7 months x 4850 usd = 71,295 usd. But you start feeding the birds from week zero @ average monthly cost of 3250 usd hence it is 18.66 months X 3250 usd = usd 60,645. Hence you can make 10,000 usd. Here we have not even placed the cost of purchasing the birds and other losses. So in reality profit is usd usd 535 per month from the day zero

    • @FarmUp
      @FarmUp  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The cost of feeding in week one is $1825 And slowly goes up each month. Even month 5 cost is less than $3250.

      @winfridluoga7567 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The farm can deduct every equipment it buys... It can deduct properties...like building using depreciation...
      I fact I can believe he can put more money in his pocket than we think if all deductions are taken... And the government allows it...😆😆😆

    • @agubretukekeli1959
      @agubretukekeli1959 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I believe that when you are doing these calculations you must remember that infrastructure is a permanent thing, so you do not go calculating all of that into one production..... I do poultry and what Dr is giving us his earnings is the current laying birds.... and truth, it pays more than a government Dr. I am from Ghana and the story isn't any different

    You said it...your expenses are not so high! This is key...in the US our taxes are astronomical, which translates to a ridiculously high cost of living. We are being taxed to death - to the point of homelessness for some people. Additionally, our tax money is being sent to help certain other countries and not the citizens who actually work here. America is a great place, and it's full of really amazing, creative people, but the government is a hard taskmaster and citizens work and live like slaves in order to make the politicians rich. People in developing countries don't realize how great they have it. The people are finally waking up though and taking their power back. The power is always with the people regardless of where you call home. If you don't like how your country is being managed, the people can and must change things. It's the only way! Change is coming to America and when that happens, the entire world will change.

To me, I think it worth it, especially if I can employ X amount of people and give them a decent life. Unemployment is so high in Africa, so doing what you are doing is is worth the investment.
