My GF asked what film I was watching which was playing the lovely music, I replied why it's the "Axels Friction welding machine" video my love.
The music and graphics tricked me into thinking I was watching an ad that I couldn't skip.
Did this as a kid, Failed to lube hub bearings welded spindle right to hub,...was listening to Zeppelin though.......

I did the same experiments with friction welding on a lathe when started working as a lathe machinist. The first thing I did I welded a 16mm steel rod to the MT2 taper. I was so happy then.
The classical music along with the shots of technological equipment remind one of 2001 a Space Odyssey.

The incongruous sound of Mozart's superb music accompanying a Chinese friction welding video; refreshingly different, and to me, a welcome change.
Seen a similar machine at the Halliburton plant in Duncan, Oklahoma. A water transfer manifold aka the pig an that's at least a 18" pipe.
Feels like I'm watching an AvE build video.

very fast and accurate as hell....and cheaper than some pain in the ass employee who comes in with a hangover and does crappy work...
