Matt I grew up in West Texas and me and my brother always got to ride our horses in the local parades. My Moma made our Pearl Snap western shirts on her sewing machine. I still love the Small-Town USA values. I love seeing the little kids there cheering on everyone. Hopefully some of them will carry on these old traditions. There is a lot of hard work, money and love poured into restoring of these old machines and I think it is great way to show off everyone's efforts. That BBQ sounds Lip smacking good. Followed by Peach Cobbler and some Homemade ice cream and Sweet Tea. Thanks for bringing us along. Those old Ford 2-8 & 9N tractors will live forever. Can you just imagine an 80 plus year old Kubota? I can't. LOL My son says that Kubota is now making the rear axle castings out of aluminum. How dare them. When August gets here Check out "Summers Last Blast in Vernon Texas.
Trust you had a great holiday. Our holiday up here in Canuckland was Monday, July 1st...Canada Day. We had a great day with the whole family here....16 of us. Great food, cold beverages and lots of fireworks in the backyard with friend and neighbours joining in. Looks like a great parade and a great day. Look forward to more. Be safe and stay well.
I love seeing the old Worthington machinery, as somehow, I am a shirt-tail relation to the Worthington family. I totally understand how those Long Bar/Short Bar rear tires cause a rough ride. They are great in the field, but on hard ground or pavement, not so much.
