What is becoming more and more evident every season is that Team (and, of course, Fan) Loyalty -- especially in the new NCAA world of the "Portal" -- is fungible. • @billlacy848
    @billlacy848 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Why would he announce his resignation all of a sudden now, and risk affecting morale at this particular moment, especially right before basketball is heading to the tourneys? Why would he not at least wait until after the tourneys? There are things we are not being told. How about this half billion dollar stadium reno? Wasn't that this his baby he'd be personally overseeing? Then to say he's "sorry?" There's something deeper going on, and my personal belief is that it's this pending lawsuit filed by that former women's basketball player. If the school loses on any level, it likely will taint Trev's legacy, at least to some degree. Afterall, he'd only been in the position for a few months when this thing came down. No one expected this lawsuit. If Trev leaves now, he distances himself to some degree at least, as opposed to being in the midst of it should a decision rule against him. If he leaves now, secured by a good job elsewhere, he avoids to some degree a potentially really negative stigma attached to him by already having moved beyond the local arena, something he wouldn't or couldn't avoid by remaining here. Kind of "out of sight, out of mind." Believe me, I hope I'm wrong about this, because he's leaving everyone else involved hanging out to dry while he books it out of here. Think about the timing of the whole thing. To me, nothing else makes sense, especially with athletics at the University humming along so nicely. This was Trev's dream gig. And whatever the reasons ultimately are, it's just very sad and very unfortunate.

And we want to say that the board of regents has their head up their ass? Maybe Trev had his head up his ass offering a deal like that to a loser like Rhule. It is a lateral move for Trev Alberts. Texas A & M is in no way better than Nebraska. It's not even as good.
