    You'd have a lot less dust if you connected a sleeve (could be a piece of material folded over and sewn down one side, or even a shirt sleeve or pants leg), between the output pipe on the grinder and the collection container. The aim is to minimize the exposure. Also when you grind the oyster shell, the stuff is flying everywhere. Many years ago I worked in a flour factory. Anyone working with the grinding process had to wear a twin-cartridge dust mask. Protect your health.

    I've been using your worm feed recipe, or at least as close as I could get based on what available locally for me. The worms are definitely plumping up. Ordered the small worm sifter and another 5 lbs of worms. When ppl ask me where to buy worms, I send them straight to you. I've have nothing but good luck with your worms.
    My rendition was a touch different, as I didn't exactly the same versions of feed available. For those who can't find exactly the same thing, there are some variations. Here's what I came up with.
    -Alfalfa Whole Oat Pellets
    -Alfalfa/Timothy Hay Cubes
    -Smart Beets (Didn't have sweet beets)
    -Wild Bird Seed (Didn't have classic or fruit and nut)
    -Chicken Egg Laying Mash Crumbles
    -Sweet Horse Feed
    -Cracked Corn
    -Dried Molasses

    We use a worm chow now but also veggies we process down and freeze from grocery stores (out of dates)
    I use the alfalfa every feeding but a grinder would make my life easier than wetting, expanding, fluffing and drying for winter feeding. Your info is very insiteful and you bless me.

    Hi, in case of chow only bins. If a bin has 2 pounds of red wiggler worms. Are they supposed to be fed 1pound of Chow daily? Someone told me that they eat half of their body weight daily.... bcos vegies are mostly water where as chow is dense... thanks

    • @MemesWorms
      @MemesWorms  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Noooo no more than than a tbsp at a time. You will give them protein poisoning if your not careful.

    • @MemesWorms
      @MemesWorms  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can feed more often if need be. But make sure what you've fed already is gone before feeding again.
