Someone told me once that anytime a mistake is made in music to think about the original amount of work the composing likely took with all the subtle changes to make it just right. Think about all the mistakes they made! Making a mistake is probably the greatest compliment you could pay to the composer. It just proves how much work it took to make it just right.
