It’s really exciting and nostalgic when people open these old vintage packs. i can’t believe people can be calm opening them! i’ve always wanted to own a vintage pokémon collection but i don’t have the money. one day i also want to own a base set holo venasaur as my favourite pokemon is bulbasaur.
I remember buying a load of these kind of boosters constantly every weekend all over town with all the money I was given and from some extra from my parents. I’ve always loved Dragonite and Charizard and still do in my 30s!
Love what you do Leon. You truly are a good person that cares about the community. Arcanine was always my favorite growing up. Few others have stepped in on the competition now that my son collects and all these new ones are in the scene. Keep doing you Leon!

I remember opening some of these packs when I was younger with my little brother. Now my daughter just got into it and we have begun playing the game together. She loves Evee. I am not sure that I really ever had a favorite but remember pulling a Holo Kaputops and being super excited because I really thought that one looked cool.
Ur a lucky one. I had thousands of cards from 99-02 or 03 i had all of them pulled them all myself too as a kid. All got stolen. No more cards. And i never even had anyone to play with i had to play by myself. I still loved the cards tho. Idc how much its worth i just wish i had them back and never sell them
I'm old so Charizard is forever in my heart. But I also really like Arcanine. I enjoy seeing someone able to let me relive opening the old packs without having to spend the money myself. I covet my original set of cards.
I really miss the feeling that getting a holographic back then meant that the card is actually super rare and hard to find. Right now the V, Vmax, Secret Rares and gold cards kind of take away the special feeling of getting holographic cards. Great opening! I enjoyed it very much and I always loved Magneton since the first time I watched the Muk episode season 1.
@@We_silly that’s so true. I couldn’t get a shinning Magikcarp after 12 Celebration ETB boxes so I ended up buying it for 25 bucks. Most of my reprints are way OC as well so most of them are going into binders. But overall I was really happy I was able to pull 2 charizards and 2 shiny Mews.
U know there are millions of yellow cheeks pica there nothing special I heard another person say there's something special about them I buy sell Pokémon for 15 years and I think k I sold 10 of them last year for a buck each
Lugia is my favorite pokemon. I remember being fascinated with the Japanese cards as a kid because they always got them before us stateside. When I saw my first Japanese Lugia as a kid, I lost my mind. Nostalgia hit for sure!!
Ever since the pokemon movie in 2000 came out Lugia has been my favorite since. Being a 90s kid I love seeing you pull some amazing cards bringing back memories and my son 7 has been collecting for a couple years now and he loves sitting down watching the old shows with me makes me proud love the videos bud!

My favorite pokemon of all time is Infernape, due to his epicness in the pokemon anime. I really like How he proved Paul wrong in the pokemon league when Ash fought against Paul. Infernape nearly fainted, but then his blaze kicked in and he went on a rampage against Paul’s electrivire. Every time I see that fight the goosebumps hit me so hard!
I'm not into Pokemon at all anymore but I've stumbled upon these opening videos and let me tell ya nothing beat the feeling of opening them up back in the day. If only I held onto all the cards I once had.

My favorite pokemon for quite some time now has been Jirachi. There are actually some really awesome Jirachi cards. My favorite is between the Jirachi prism star card from Celestial Storm and the EX version in EX Crystal Guardians.

Edit: it was also my first legendary/mythical Pokémon I got during the platinum game stop event! Was really cool you could get a Jirachi with draco meteor when it’s a move it should not know!

I didn't know the OG Magneton was worth so much. One of my relatives gave it to me along with other cards bc he wasn't interested in Pokemon cards anymore.
Dang I remember when these came out at my local card shop but I never could afford the boxes. It would be great if I could feel that nostalgia once again without spending a fortune in cards! Bulbasaur and all of its evolutions were always my favorite cards they have the best arts all the time and I used to watch Pokémon the show and just a great Pokémon in general.
My favorite Pokemon is all the evolution line of Squirtle, so Wartortle and Blastoise included. Me and my Brother used to have a pet Red Eared Slider Turtle and named them according to their size, the smallest one would be Squirtle, the medium one is Wartortle and the Biggest one is Blastoise. My Dad recommended naming them after the Ninja Turtles, but unfortunately the 4th one died during transit so with just 3 left we named them after Squirtle our favorite Pokemon, it also has to do with Ash's Squirtle being a bad ass leader of the Squirtle Squad.
My favourite pokemon is Zekrom. black and white base was the first set I ever opened but unfortunately my parents threw out my binders when we moved :(

Yeah the packs are literally modern day lottery tickets, your really lucky if you pull chase alt art card and get it graded a 10, big win for you

This might be a weird one but I fell in love with the goofy pineco from the first couple movies but teddiursa from the celebi movie is a close 2nd

I recommend evolutions. Not too expensive compared to a base set pack but still got the nostalgic base set cards.

Being young I never got the chance to open any vintage packs but I had seen my older brothers and cousins play with cards. Now I collect modern mainly cause vintage is way too expensive
