I just want to say that during the Civil Rights Movement, the physical danger was very, very real for those on the front lines, and the chance of being killed was astronomically high for any Black Person in plain view. I truly believe that that was the ONLY reason that the brilliant, strong Black Woman involved in that stellar movement remained in the background. For their protection. This is no way diminished the sacrifices, diligence, hard work, dedication and intelligence of the Black Women working behind the scenes.
