- Dave and Nath have been playing XCOM-style tactical RPG King Arthur: Knight's Tale on PlayStation 5, and they LIKE IT. Here's a full mission showing off the exploration, squad system, combat, and, thanks to Dave, meticulous action point reserving.
The console version of this highly rated mythical battler comes to PlayStation 5 on 22nd February.

Nath and Dave playing a nice chill strategy game is the perfect “smooth jazz” for my Sunday morning.
It does look like fun, always loved XCOM series as well. Personal gripe however - it looks like digital only which is a shame.

The second you said "X-Com," I was sold. The AP points system seems a bit Divinity-esque as well, which is another thing working in its favor. I'll absolutely be picking this one up. Might even pay full price, which is saying a lot. Thanks for the video, Dave and Nath!

Love a bit of xcom. You guys got absolutely demolished during the stream and at EGX but it was so much fun. The part when Rob who was butt naked got blasted away and landed onto a railing had me in tears 😂
Might be a bit niche but i think there is an audience for games like this. Grimdark Arthurian legends is a cool setting.
I swear when xcom rebooted itself it reinvented the turn based game for casuals. All the console turn based games now look like this and i love it.

I really love how the success of BG3 has helped usher in a new age of strategic, table top inspired RPGs. It’s not my personal favorite genre but it’s so refreshing to see these types of games getting attention rather than another new battle royale.

I have never ever herd access ever utter the words even remotely related to any other gaming machine that can game outside of sony related. They say pc like 5 times in the first 30 seconds 😳😱. Always thought there was some unspoken rule about this. 😳
Yeah. I used to play on PC but found the controls annoying, like WASD is digital and lacking analogue finesse, and even when you plug in a joypad you find some games still require you to use the keyboard for things (which takes you out of the game as you hunt for, or even just remember, the right key) - whereas on PlayStation these get nicely mapped to the touchpad or rethought somehow. Don't get me started on all the hours lost configuring things just to get it running nicely.
Is it 60fps on ps5?
Can’t believe they didn’t compare this to Baldur’s gate 3? 🤔 it’s very similar open world until you fight it becomes turn based, party of characters, looting, medieval/fantasy/D&D genre. Strange. Looks cool will keep an eye out for it.
I really enjoyed this game on PC. There is a tier list for abilities but most are viable. The ranger class is trash, hope that the PS5 release inspires a rework of the Ranger class. Champion, rogue and mage classes are great though, lots of fun.

There's early access on the 19th, but it comes out on the 22nd for everyone.
So it's more of a CRPG like pillars of eternity or divinity rather than a tactical RPG like disgaea or fire emblem?

I hope this is more linear than Witcher 3 . That was awful. lol loved the game, but do quests out of order end up failing other quests. Is this just another Baulders Gate 3?
Another Baldur's gate 3 a bit more simplified and less personality traits to have to worry about. And I really didn't like The Witcher 3. At all. Couldn't grasp its lore and I just couldn't get into it
Dang ya lost me at turn based.
Can’t wait until this current trend of turn based gaming comes to an end.
