    Your video is by far the most helpful one I have ever seen! Especially because you are a flight attendant so you know exactly the rules and regulations. You exactly answered my question about whether this bag would count as a luggage or a personal item. I am glad that you told me otherwise I would have made a mistake to try to use it as a personal item, unless I get the convertible one which detaches. So glad you mentioned that because I did not know there was a difference between many Weekender bags. I did not know there was a convertible version. You are amazing and thank you for making my future trips so much easier!

    Thanks for the honest review. It made me realize that I think I'll hold off on the weekender and get the regular luggage they offer. I thought it would be heavy to carry and this confirmed it. Thanks again! Super helpful! :-)

      Glad I could help! Literally in love with this bag! It replaced my travel pro tote. So much more space and cuter!

    I have used this as a personal item bag on Delta for those wondering. There is also a video on YT that shows this size works for most US airlines.

      Yes, on D, or other american-based airlines, I think it would be no problem.

      I was stopped however while traveling in Europe (specifically from Istanbul to Amsterdam) and told I'd have to check it.

      @taraozekin Yes, international travel is a whole other story. I don't take it when I go to Europe as their size restrictions are much smaller. I have taken it to the Caribbean with no issues, though.

    I have the big bag, and it fits underneath the seat just fine. And yes, I fly a good bit. Not sure you're giving anyone decent advice.

    Found your Beis mini weekender review when randomly surfing luggage (I was trying to recall the unusual line of I think (gasp) leather items at one of the American high end shops NY Chicago SF etc. I don't buy those but I like to loook. I just love this review! ! ! Both for the thorough and organized show & tell, including personal take on various choices of how to use the bag, and you do a great demo, seriously. What I most enjoyed was I am not even sure what it is called [ ! ] "presence," or "delivery," You have a wonderful rapport with your audience which is actually pretty rare in internet video. I used to fly a lot. I have found that flyers, particularly commercial, are often easy to talk with and easy to listen to and generally smaaRRRT and kind and also witty. Best of success and happiness to you and yours. I'll probably get one of those mini's :) and I might give one as a gift as well. Cheers!

      Thank you for such a kind comment! It made my day! If you get a mini, I hope you love it! I love mine, I want to buy so many more items in the Beis line up!

    It's on sale right now for anyone interested, but I think I'll hold off and use my regular teacher backpack which opens up the exact same way.

    Omgsh I bought the big weekender and was so miserable it was so heavy. I would use this smaller one if I was doing a carry-on sliding luggage and this would be my personal item those handles are not very comfortable going through big airports.

    I am hoping to use the mini weekender as a personal item. The regular weekender has been my go-to carry on for shorter trips when i dont check luggage and i love it!

    Great video! You said you'd definitely consider this as a carry on and not as a personal item....but according to the dimensions, this would fit as a personal. I'm flying Spirit next week and will NOT have a carry on.... I'm considering buying this as my personal. The last thing I was is for them to charge me $55 for this if they consider it a carry on... do you think I could get away with this as a personal?

      Did it fit under the seat?

    • @TaraOzekin
      @TaraOzekin  ปีที่แล้ว

      On spirit I’m sure it would be fine. Internationally on some of those smaller European lines (Sun express, etc) they totally tried to take it from me!

    • @TaraOzekin
      @TaraOzekin  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think so, as long as you get the mini and you’re traveling domestically!

    Do you have recommendations for an alternative personal carry on? One that will most certainly fit under the seat and fit electronics and change of clothes/makeup.. if you had to buy one and this one wasn't available

      @TaraOzekin  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      BEIS also makes a tote called “east to west” that I would totally buy, but it wasn’t out yet when I purchased my weekender. If you’re traveling on American based airlines like AA, Delta, United, and Southwest, I think you’d be ok with the weekender though. It’s Europe you have to watch out for!

      You can use the bottom part as a packing cube fits inside the top part. I saw this from another TH-camr, quite smart as you can keep the bottom as the bottom for road trips

    I just ordered the Weekender but the regular size, should I exchange it for the mini one?

    • @Pluscelamemechose
      @Pluscelamemechose หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No. The big bag goes under the seat just fine. I know because I've done it. 1st class or cabin, it works. That little one is barely bigger than a purse.

    • @TaraOzekin
      @TaraOzekin  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I disagree. The big one was enormous, way too big for a flight attendant to carry around-- and FAs are offered a lot of leniency. The mini is a weekender, it's not meant to pack your entire wardrobe in. If you have a long trip, I would pack your essentials in the mini, and check a large roller luggage. Mini works best for quick trips or as a carry on. Everyone doesn't fly first class, and if you fly internationally on smaller carriers that are common in Europe, like AnadoluJet, Pegasus, or Iberia, you will be asked to check it. I was asked to check my mini, even with the bottom shoe compartment unzipped and detached.

    • @TaraOzekin
      @TaraOzekin  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That being said, Delta, American airlines, AirFrance, Air Korea, really big names (with big airliners) would likely allow you to keep it.
