Molly (Demi Moore) tells Carl (Tony Goldwyn) that Oda Mae went to the bank and closed an account, which makes him suspicious.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
An interesting hybrid of popular film genres, Ghost showcases the talents of its entire cast. While out on the town one evening, New York couple Sam (Patrick Swayze) and Molly (Demi Moore) are confronted by a mugger. After submitting to his demands, Sam is murdered anyway. He then finds himself a disembodied spirit, invisible to the living world, wandering without hope until he finds a spiteful spirit aboard the subway (Vincent Schiavelli) who gives him some helpful pointers on how to co-exist. Soon Sam comes back into contact with those he knew in life, and he begins to learn piece-by-piece of his close friend and co-worker Carl's (Tony Goldwyn) embezzling plot which caused his death; the apparent mugging was, in fact, a premeditated murder. In the meantime, Carl has designs on Molly, and Sam is determined to extract revenge. He contacts a psychic (Whoopi Goldberg), and together, the two set out to serve justice and stop the maniacal Carl from getting to Molly. Blending comedy, romance, action, and horror, Ghost was a box-office smash and managed to garner five Academy Award nominations, including "Best Picture," "Best Supporting Actress" (Goldberg), "Best Original Screenplay," "Best Editing," and "Best Score"; Goldberg won her first Oscar.

it's crazy; i hated him as a kid, having watched Ghost all of the time with my mom. And now, for the past year watching Scandal, I just can't get enough of him. He's gorgeous.

Tony Goldwyn such a great actor. He really help make this movie a great one.
He doesn't get a lot of recognition but I believe the reason is because people can't distinguish reality from fiction it and because he played the role so well people hate him for real.

Literally the sound of the plot thickening
What I love about this scene is how so many things are going on. The actors have to ignore Swazye entirely and that's harder than it sounds. Sam's commentary on the conversation is hilarious cause he's almost doing his own rifftrax of the movie. What's even funnier about it is Sam's the only person that can hear his one liners but he says them anyway cause it's more for himself.
Oda mae brown said that she can't see him she can only hear him. But her eyes were looking at him when they were having a conversation. I think that was a big mistake in the movie.
Amber l It could be a mistake, but then again, I’m sure she’d at least be able to tell the general direction in which Sam’s voice was coming from.
@@noorrougelewis6704 if you watch closely during the movie you will see Oda Mae never looks directly into Sam’s eye, just in his general direction because she can hear and sense the approximate direction of his voice. It’s only at the end scene does she look directly into his eyes after she finally sees him for the first time

Carl's expression @ 1:02 is just priceless-STUNNED,at the mention of the name Rita Miller(and of course,it's plain he now has the answer to the mysterious disappearance of the "precious" $4 million!) But of course,both he and Willie have only themselves to thank for what's coming to them VERY SOON(in the scene right after,is where Willie gets his.)

It's funny how three people from Disney films are in this like Tony Goldwyn who was Tarzan, Demi Moore who played Esmerelda in Hunchback of Notre Dame and Whoopi Goldberg who played Shenzi from Lion King I just visualize those characters interacting with each other.
Tarzan thinks Shenzi is nuts and Cash have Shenzi to convince Esmeralda otherwise

Came here after I found out Tony Goldwyn was also the voice actor for Tarzan (1999), was so impressed with just his voice acting in that and I’m even more so with his performance in Ghost. Great actor.
Demi Moore was the voice of Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996) as well

I saw this in the theater. I remember this scene and I was thinking ; being a rational person, and after being knocked around by an unseen force, seeing things move on their own, I would have went straight down to the police station and turned myself in, called a priest or pastor, told the whole truth and prepared for the consequences. This guy only thinks "I want my $4,000,000".
The drug dealers would have had connections inside either Carl was stuffed. Sam saved him and Willy from a far more horrible ending.

Seeing this gives the the giggles. First of all it's fun to see TG when he was younger and so adorable, even though he was playing an ass.
Second it reminds me of Tony's tongue-in-cheek remarks about Demi and her cougar tendencies. In an interview with Joy Behar he said it was funny how he and Demi were once the right age for each other but now, he's much too old for her, despite the fact that they are practically the same age. LOL!
