    In today's video, I focus on installing a brand new front suspension in the 240SX. I'm using a combination of high quality aftermarket and OE Nissan parts to create a pretty sweet setup in the end. If you haven't seen the previous video (see link below), be sure to check it out! This will be one of the most important areas of focus on the car because it'll completely transform the way it hits the road! Now, I need to tackle the rear suspension! As always, a huge thanks to you all for supporting this project and for your patience over the past couple of months. Pretty soon, this car will be back on the ground, driving and handling better than ever!

      You are giving me the itch for sure. I even started looking into a quickjack after seeing this video. The quality of your videos has always been topnotch so it is obvious you put time and effort in them.

    • @saabkyle04
      @saabkyle04  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Ben, I really appreciate that! As far as the quickjacks, I'd seriously recommend them. The money is worth spending. With the 240, it never felt fully stable on jackstands, just couldn't ever get it to sit right. With the quickjacks, the car is able to sit higher and perfectly level. There's safety bars built in as well to prevent it from ever falling.

    Most suspension parts need to be at drive height before tightening bolts to torque factory spec. I think the part that wore out prematurely was in a bind causing the bushings to tear. Another area that can cause a problem is installing the sway bars upside down. If your suspension makes noise over bumps this maybe the cause.

    • @saabkyle04
      @saabkyle04  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're absolutely correct. I've been strictly following the factory service manual. For the front, Nissan says to torque the sway bar bushings and endlinks on the ground, but everything else is fine up in the air. I think that's the way the rear was too, but I'll double check that for the next video. Thanks for the info!

      Idk how soon you would need it, but I have considered selling both. However, it'll likely be a while. I was going to save the cosmetics till after the engine swap is done. Depending on the financials, I may not start on the cosmetics this year, we'll have to see. My plan is to start the engine swap this summer. Feel free to shoot me an email at kyle@saabkyle04.com and check in every now and then. Thanks!
