I've got a problem, so whenever I try to open the official OpenIV website it always says that the site refuses to connect, so after almost an hour of looking around I found your video(thank god) and I clicked on the alternative download link
After waiting for it to install and opening it up, I followed all the steps in your video, however when I got past the part where you select your language, it says that my installation has been cancelled, I'll copy and paste what the message says
"The installation program of OpenIV can't download the necessary files from server.
Check your Internet-connection, also check the settings of firewalls and antivirus software."
I've tried disabling my firewall and tried other stuff but it just wouldn't download, is there a way to fix this?

When I try to open openiv is says I need to check fire wall or antivirus
How come I can’t just put the update and x64 folders into the mods folder instead of copying it….. to save the almost extra 50 gigs it needs to copy it?… just curious.
Because you need all the files from the update and x64 folders to properly copy into that mods folder. This gives you the door to OpenIV allowing you to further mod the game.

Hey thank you man! I appreciate that and I’m glad you enjoy the vids! So the only thing I could think of would be going into your ELS ini file to see if maybe you can adjust them there and then save it?

So i went ahead with your suggestion apparently you can't, on the .ini you can only edit things like range of the light reflection.. light multiplier, delay between flashes and edit keybinds so unfortunatly you cant save the pattern :(

Hey I have one question. I have all my vehicles in patchday 20, if I wanted to start using patchday 24, do I have to remove my vehicles from patchday 20?
I wouldn’t recommend using patchday 24. That’s why we all still use patchday 20. It’s the patchday that works for all of the replace vehicles.

@@Meta_Quest_Pepsi to drag and drop, you’ll need to move the files onto your desktop THEN you can move them into openIV.

@@Meta_Quest_Pepsi when you want to install them from wherever you download it from to openIV. For me I had to drag them from my desktop after installing, then drag into openIV.

That’s probably because it’s not installed on your C drive. The pathway should be steam, steam apps, Grand Theft Auto V.

It’s allot more than just “cars.” If you want better mods in your game, then OpenIV is gonna be your only option.
It’s honestly not that much space.

Hey man sorry to ask you in the comments I know you don’t like that but my discord not working if you don’t mind helping me my game mod everything works fine but I can not blip any vehicles to pull over any suggestion
I’m not CJ but It’s your left shift key to pull over a vehicle. If that’s not working then you need to check the keybinds in your lspdfr configuration file.
I can also tell you that CJ will not answer your comment as it does involve trouble shooting. Your best bet if you can’t get your game figured out is to try and figure out discord.
