    Heat waves in the bay!!!!
    I just ordered one via Amazon tonight.
    I cannot do another heat wave here in the Bay without an A/C in my room. At night, these units are a must have!!!

      Honestly, it’s does an awesome job. It’s a bit “noisy” as expected from an A/C unit, but it works Great! 👍🏼
      I ran it today with only the fan on to help break it in. Surprisingly, it’s quiet for what iit is. You can hear it, but for what it does and offers way surpasses a little noise. It’ll keep you safe during the heat waves, especially at night 😃
      I ran it on setting: cold, running on low set at 76 degrees . And it cooled me off with no problem. Mine is a little big, but my unit doesn’t have run harder or be set at a high setting when I can cool off on a low setting. It has a fan, dehumidifier, and A/C.
      It’s big enough to cool any room or any space needed. It just takes a little time, but it works great!!

    Works best in a small room with the door closed. I have one of these portable air conditioner units and trust me a small room is where it works the best. Plus keeping the door closed helps a lot.

    I have one just like this other than the btu on mine is 8k. It cools half our 1600 square foot house. The ratings suck, suggested to only work in 250 square feet. You use fans baby, it works. I keep hearing ppl say its really loud, mine is almost silent. It sits next to my cabezza and i dont even have to turn up me volume. Quieter than my regular 12” fan.

    Re: drainage, I was surprised at how much water is generated. I live in Seattle, and when it's hot and humid, it can generated more than 5 gallons of water. I'm curious is the evaporative technology can keep up with this?

    • @phototristan

      It's not possible to ruin this unit that way because it will automatically stop when you need to drain it.

    Good day. Very informative video. I live in South Texas, near the bay, where it it's extremely humid. Today the high will be 94 with a Heat index of 110 and humidity at 97%.
    I live in a very old house with central air but no insulation.
    Only some outlets are 3 pronged, most are two pronged. I spend most of my time in a the living room, which is very small, and the outlets are two pronged. I'm assuming all portable AC unit plugs will be 3 pronged. This unit seems ideal for my needs, but I'm afraid to order it only to have to return it because I can't connect it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Does it have a Dehumidifier option? If yes, do you have to drain the water like the ordinary dehumidifiers?

    • @phototristan
      @phototristan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes and you do have to drain the water periodically although when using it as an A/C, very little water is produced, if any. I still check the drain pan and most of the time for me there is nothing in there. But, I don't use the dehumidify only feature, jus.A/C.

    I live on the bottom floor and the windows are only about 7-8 inches from the floor. I have been anting to get one of these for my bedroom, but I’m super concerned of critters crawling into my house through the hose that goes outside or the cracks around the window due to the installation. What prevents bugs, rodents or lizards from crawling into the house via the hose?
