Some people are just too damn smart for their own good!!! Great work young man!! I’m 62 and have 6 grandchildren. Next year my 11yo and I are building an ROV for his science class project. Thanks
This project looks amazing! I am making my own underwater ROV robot and i was wondering how are you keeping your electronics waterproof (other than the speed controllers)? I am trying to send a raspberry pi down with the pi camera to stream footage to a monitor via HDMI cable. I see you have a clear waterproof box which is just what I'm looking for but i don't want to risk water leaking in and ruining the pi from its lack of waterproof performance from the product. My goal is to plan for dives of at most 20 feet for about 15 minutes at a time. Would you recommend buying a waterproof box or making my own way of storing it? Thanks! :)
Muy buen video, lastima que no están los diagramas de las conexiones, sobre todo como conectar la raspberry pi con pixhawk. Se agradece igual el video. Very good video, too bad there are no connection diagrams, especially how to connect the raspberry pi with pixhawk. The video is also appreciated.
Do you happen to offer the code anywhere or 3d print files? Im a mechanical engineer but im still very much learning electronics and coding, id love to build something similar but always get stuck at the coding and electronics. Thanks so much, Love you video, just subbed
Is that working out? How many submerged hours so far. Also, what is the battery life on what mAh? 12v right? I really enjoyed this video. Paused and rewound many times. Lots of condensed information. Thank you. Please post more!
These motors will fail even in fresh water. The bearings get rusty and fail. I have lost a few this way but was able to replace bearings. I am trying bilge pump motors, remove pump, install props.

Great work, Thanks!!!!!
Very cool! Lots of hard work and ingenuity.

Well done! 😌👍🏻
Amazing! I have to ask, what kind of cable did you use for tethering? I mean, did you wrap ethernet cable?
Just uf cat6 ethernet

wow friend!!! increible, how did you seal the motors?
I didn't seal them just run them a bit after i take them out of the watter to dry them.

I was thinking about building one to, but did you waterproof the motors, or are they whaterproof by themselves?
They're not sealed, just regular bldc motors. We basically consider them consumable, but haven't had any fail yet.
I'm trying to do this rn as well really good job, haven't checked the link yet but are the motors waterproof or did you just say fuck it and go anyway
Have you done any more dives?
what connectors are used in this ROV?
Yeah that’s pretty sick dude when are you going to start selling them
What software did you use on rasberry pi
Mavlink
@@technik68 does the mavlink stream the video to your phone? Also, what app were you using on you phone to control your sub?
updates?
