Simple burner design Peter. Looking at the flame shape and listening to the noise I think you could lean down the LPG a bit on it with a smaller jet. Cheers Rob

Thanks for the advice Rob, I've bought some jets to see what happens with different sized jetting. Cheers Peter

G’day Ian This video was taken some time ago and has been waiting to be a fill in video between projects but yes I will be casting new pulleys for the lathe early in January.
      Cheers

Gday Peter, simple designs are often the best, the bloody lathe belt is a pain in the ass, that’s a bad design fault really, I’m looking forward to seeing what you cast in the future, great job as always mate, Cheers

G’day Matty. Yeah the belt is a pain, I’m looking at an alternative belt pulleys arrangement.
      Cheers

    Hello Peter,
Good video... I would like to have a go at casting but I am on the waiting list for a new hip... so will wait until that is done as I think I am a bit wobbly to be handling molten metal... See you on the next one...
    Take care.
    Paul,,

Hello Peter, Nice job! You are having a time with those drive belts, do they make a teflon/PTFE or Kevlar belt for those? Best!

G’day Eddie. I have problems finding a belt except what the supplier provides so I’m investigating other belt and pulley sizes.
      Cheers

    Hi Peter
Some good information for "us novices" with burners, is the 3/4" water pipe the inside diameter and what material is it. Can you show the burner in use or have you already done that previously.
That Led light is a god send on my Mill, going to put one on the drill next, thanks again for that idea.
    Take Care

G’day Kev. The burner is made of 3/4” galvanised water pipe that’s the ID measurement, but to make things confusing the coupling is 1” to 1 1/4” and that’s the OD measurement. Next year when I fire up the furnace I’ll try to remember to feature the burner firing up. Glad to hear the light ring is successful for you, it’s one of those “I should have done this years ago “ jobs, what a difference and none of that mucking around trying to get the work lamp in the right position, it’s always in the right place bright as day.
      Cheers
      Peter
