    Agreed. It’s getting almost impossible to secure a PR for those in BC and/or Ontario. But I would be hesitant to suggest the rural areas. The healthcare system in this country is severely broken. And I say this as someone who works in Health Policy. The wait times are astronomical. It’s much much much worse in the hinterlands. Please consider this before coming here.

    I’m in Toronto and my room mate is from India trying to get her PR. I’ve had discussions with her about her 3 yr journey so far. It’s so sad how much International students don’t know compared to Canadian students.
    First, there is a major difference here between university and college. And there is a difference between public universities and private universities. Public universities have the best reputation for getting good paying office jobs (lawyer, scientist, etc). Colleges are for trades (plumber, Electrician etc) but trades have lower salaries than office jobs. My room mate went to George Brown college for marketing and the only job she could find after was at a fast food restaurant. She keeps asking me how to get a good job like mine (I work remotely for an American tech company, stable hours and good pay) and I’m brutally honest with her in saying that jobs like mine don’t consider you if your going to places like George brown college. It’s got to be a public university (University of Toronto, University of Waterloo) basically anything with University of and a city/province name. Also, colleges like George brown are known for being diploma mills. Basically anything with a high international student population are institutions companies stay away hiring from. These places don’t offer good education to get you far. My room mate doesn’t even know how to write a proper essay and I had to help her practice for the IELTS exam.
    Please do your research and focus on getting a good quality education in Canada vs any education. It’ll set you up for success. My other friend is also working towards her PR but she went to the University of British Columbia which is a good reputable university. She works as a senior accountant making great money, full health benefits, and 4 weeks of paid vacation time off. The contrast between my room mate that went to George brown and my friend that went to UBC is insane.

    • @clarksmith8830
      @clarksmith8830 ปีที่แล้ว

      basically this. You don't know how many immigrants in particular indian ones are studying something trash like HR in Seneca, Centennial, etc George Brown's College. These diplomas are effectively worthless and a waste of money. No employer for a high paying job will even consider the degrees. Meaning give up on owning a home

    • @nayanmehta2267

      What do you suggest studying between Vancouver Island University at BC vs George Brown college…

    • @enggguy
      @enggguy 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Tuition at UBC is $50K a year and most colleges average tuition at $14K. If there are pathways for PR then the ROI at the college level is better. Unfortunately or fortunately these pathways are slowly drying up leaving a more expensive route only available. But at least the province and the country is benefiting from the old system dying off that shady bad actors.

    Canada is getting harder to settle in for sure but, it's also fair to admit that most "students" who are supposed to be smarter than this don't do the least of efforts to research their chances. They just want to land there and figure it out later on which is a big no no in any country but especially in Canada and in these times. As always, good stuff ! thanks for sharing these insights.

    I really admire how honest you are and for not sugar coating what's the reality here in Canada. A lot of immigration consultancies would tell beautiful promises to their clients just to persuade them to sign up and avail of their services but in the end those clients' dreams would eventually or most likely be shuttered because of the uneducated advice they got and unpreparedness. By the way, I was always watching your videos back in my country when I was not yet PR here in Canada but well, I am here now. You may not know but your videos helped me a lot. EE FSW here! 1 pathway that is working out in a slight way is this
    Do you bachelors, do your masters, work for atleast 4 or 5 years back home in your country, apply for a study visa of 1 year course or 2 year as per your financial capability, apply for work permit work for 1 year and then apply for PR.....this pathway is somewhat still relevant but might get outdated soon.
    You get points for being single, having done your bachleors and masters (pending ECA), points for Ielts 8777, points for study in canada, and then finally points for 1 year work...

    Very thoughtful insight Mr Kuber! I don’t usually write comments but I’ve been trying for Canadian Immigration since 2019 and after loosing around $10,000 and a lot of hair I realized I don’t want to be cramped up in a cold basement with 4 people, almost no savings, working odd jobs, being insulated by employers as soon as they realize I need a visa sponsorship. So I left Canada and moved to the USA. Good luck and best wishes for anyone in the immigration process. Stay strong 🙏🏼

    I’ve been living in Canada for 15 years now and me and my wife are considering to move back to Europe at some point. I just want to build a pension here and leave. Housing market is inaccessible, drugs are everywhere. And let’s not forget about the subpar education in the public schools. Instead of teaching kids things like math, literature, world history, geography, etc., the education system focuses on the SOGI education, “inclusivity” and other crap like that. The other day I asked my kid where is Mediterranean Sea. She didn’t know. “Somewhere in the US”. It’s not her fault that she didn’t know, but the education system is focused on creating idiots and ignorants because that’s how you control a population. Less educated, easier to manipulate. And I could go on.

      Canada has closed the doors on getting the chances of a PR for many. But your homeland still desperately needs you like it has always been. Stay In India and work towards building our nation. Even if you by any luck get a PR, what good that would do you!!? You'd only be discriminated everywhere by the locals who are already fed up of mass immigration overcrowding their cities, hospitals etc. also leading to soaring housing prices and contributing to rise of inflation. No wonder crime rates, gun violence etc are also sharply increasing.

      @@viraj5132 Lol nice excuse..but if our educated Indians dont leave and stay back, it is inevitable that they would be inclined to do things which would build the nation and uplift the economy. They can setup businesses/startups and sell to the world to bring in foreign currencies. This is a more feasible and honourable way to earn forex by being a top exporting country, not by being servant to the locals in the developed nations. There's no honour in being a servant and you know how you are treated there. Japan, S. Korea rose to prosperity by being top export countries not by being servants. Infact economic prosperity can only be achieved by building your nation to attract foreign investors and customers rather than sneaking out like thieves. I have never seen a country prosper where citizens are always in search of opportunities to sneak out rather than staying in to build it, example - phillipines, India, pakistan etc. Even the locals of the developed nations also know how desperate our public is in escaping their homeland and hence they exploit them well.
