Yes, I confidently said "Sean Conner" instead of "John Connor" without a second thought. That one Sean Connery interview I watched, recently, must've messed with my brain.
Super villain stories in my opinion have the advantage of the audience expecting the villain to win. That raises the stakes quite considerable and if the 'antagonist' in the situation losses it results in a terrible outcome. And that story can be done in a few different ways. Play it straight and have the villain win, making the story a tale of the product of villainy or make them an anti-hero where they realize their evil and try to make amends. The issue with what the movie did with the latter is that it is mired in a multiverse setting and the character isn't shown to have a change of heart in any believable way.
Yeah, that's because, even though Black Adam's arc was decently conceived, it was paper-thin, in terms of execution. I feel like they wanted him to imprint on the kid, in a way that reminded him of his own son and what he lost, thus swaying him to the good side, but that seems to have been cut for time.
@@CynicalWarlock which I think if they simply stated with his backstory first and have the kid be a bit more likeable it would have done well. Villains can always be a bit more out there because they aren't restricted to the standards of society manners. Which causes a lot more people to want them to be better. But if it is made unbelievable it feels forced and like they haven't really changed.

I just finished watching this movie today (yes I'm late to this movie) but holy shit I had a blast, Action and Humour where the best things about this, love a channel where they talk about the bad whilst coming in with entertaining comdey 😂 Very exited for your new videos❤🙌🏼✊🏼

@@CynicalWarlock Silly Lock… u don’t know nothing about world XD If you put number into every letter in word Satan, as it order in Latin basic alphabet [old italic] so S is 21 for example, then turn into fraction on 2 base, plus number of position in word [so s =1 a =2] , so 1+(42/2), then take logarithm 2 degree from nominator, multiple by 666, take a root of 3th degree from it, and turn it a back to whole number, and putting first number from the rest of the division into separate column, and now turning those 2 colums back into letters… you will get Micky Mouse - coincident ?
The sad thing is that black Adam genuinely is layered character in comics, he's a Genuine type of CHARACTER that could fit PERFECTLY in MORTAL KOMBAT. But as usual, Hollywood seems to miss the point of these characters. 😒😐 I recommend you just check out the animated movie "SUPERMAN AND SHAZAM VERSUS BLACK ADAM" it did WAY more JUSTICE ( heh pun )to ALL the CHARACTERS then the DCEU.
Had to rewatch the movie before watching this review. Imagine that when he woke up after been hospitalized in the lemur kids home, instead of just striking the wall with a weak lighting charge he explodes and destroys the whole building with the kid. And it's stupid that the kid taught they had mirrors 5000 yrs ago in khandick. For no reason, I just don't like the kid. There are so many instances where he could have died a gruesome beautiful death. When the mother was telling the justice society how "bad"her life as been it didn't seem like she was saying something that hurt her it was like she was giving a class speech. The first time around I had no problem with her acting but now, it is just all over the place. I just wish homelander was somehow in the movie to blow her brains out or at least blank Adam could do it. I mean what if the first person he electrocuted to ashes in the tomb was her. And also, when sabbac(stupid name) raised "the legion of death" and the fat brother saved them, weren't they suppose to drive away in the car rather than fight them, what if the skeletons were stronger than they were or were just the first wave. And the kid giving a motivational speech to a bunch of grownups was stupid, and them listening was even more stupid. I wish I was there to stone him. It didn't even seem like they needed a hero, didn't seem like they were oppressed. I did like the movie I won't lie, it was good. I thought I was the only one that noticed the romance not romance between big boy and cyclone. Also , for as much as I like the theme song( music, the trailer music) it was used every 15 mins and got overused. He should have spent sometime silent, learning English. Even I didn't notice what they could do with eternium till I watched this. I mean the villain could he a black Adam version of lex Luther who uses tech and eternium(kryptonite) but I'm not sure he would be strong enough for the Just us society. But then there is the issue of copying superman but isn't that the point. You title is 'the one thing that ruined black Adam' but said a thousand things in the video. Imagine if noir Adam never came back for the final battle. It was stupedic, still like it though. Dwayne made sure Henry showed but just ended up giving ppl false hope(for those that cared). Still like it though, it was dumb fun.
Yeah well, I wanted to overdeliver, instead of sticking to the one thing. :D Long story short, they missed a lotta opportunities for a lotta beautiful annoying sidekick deaths.

I enjoyed the movie great action small plot twist and was dark. Just wise black adam could have fought superman
