Interesting but this could have been a 5 minute video

Ok, so i have to add a few remarks. First i have the same chainsaw, so Husqvarna 130. I bought it 3 years ago.
Mine had included spike dogs or bumper spikes. So that metal spikes on the body near the bar.
Those flip and close caps for oil and fuel tanks that Stihl has are really prone to leaking, also its fairly easy to destroy that one thread,so not for me. And dont get me wrong, a also like both Stihl and Husqvarna.
Those polymer quick open/close tabs (for top cover) are usually on pro grade Husqvarnas only.
Also i believe that Husqvarna also has those 2 bolts and nuts for side cover and bar imbedded in plastic.
Again metal alloy body is usually only found on PRO class chanisaw.
By PRO class i mean higher end of the line-up for both Stihl and Husqvarna. So no homeowner saws.
Other than that its really a good saw. I use mainly for limbing. Its light, agile, very good anti-vibration system by springs, good fuel economy, easy to start cold or hot and easy maintanace.
I use it a lot (almost daily) and have no problems. I too use cheaper bar oil, but for fuel mix i only use Husqvarnas oil. Yes it a bit pricier, but lets face it you dont use 1 whole bottle very fast (1Liter). It lasts for quite some time.
And really its much better for the engine, especially for piston and cylinder.
    Nice review anyway.

The local dealer here says you gotta use the special premixed fuel, otherwise fuel you mix yourself will cause damage in the long run. Sounds like sales BS to me, but still would like to know what you think.

Apologies for the late reply.....I can't speak professionally about this particular chainsaw model but I have seen chainsaws run domestically on fuel mixed at home for decades...So I would agree with your comment.

That is total BS, they're just trying to sell you pre-mixed stuff which is more expensive.

2 Stroke fuel does 'go off' after a few weeks if it isn't used. Stihl claim that their propriety fuel will last for 2ys. Is is a marketing ploy? Probably, but when they give you an extra 2 yr warranty simply by buying a litre of it when you buy a new saw then that is cheap insurance. Husqvarna did the same with their branded engine oil when I bought a 4 stroke mower.
A good review there mate, I really enjoyed it (and I love that you have a neat workshop, with 5 tape measures scattered around). Cheers from Australia.

I know what you mean about old timer saws lol , in my younger years I used a danarm 110 , it was like logging with a tractor engine 😂😂 . Great review, I'm toying on buying a 120 or 130 but watching your video I'm sold on the 130 now , for an extra £45 I think it's the better saw . Many thanks , take care.

Hi, it would help to know what alternative chain brands you recommend 👍

All the major chain brands are great, Stihl, Husqvarna, Oregon and a new found favourite of mine is Rotatech !

Great review. Cut out all the arms and it would be a 5 minute video. Great saw and helpful review.

Ive got one of these, and I have 2 comments 1) Hard to strip to remove carb 2) Carb adjustment quite critical but these things aside it is a handy little saw and has done a lot of work for me.
