Yep, I was there. I feel very FORTUNATE! I was over in front of Stone back about 8 heads. Great show! Also attended the Rising Star show at the Paramount. MLB and Soundgarden opened for Jane's Addiction. In my Top 5 Concerts of My Life. I really miss these Free Times. Glad I partied my Ass Off and went to shows in Seattle during the late 80s and early 90s. I also worked within the Music Industry at the time. It was a Wild, Artistic, Raw time in Music. I Loved Every Minute of IT!
I'm pretty sure I was at this show. I know for sure I was at their label showcase which I am pretty sure was at the Central. Feeling fortunate to have been in the middle of and working during this amazing time in Music history.
I'm from LA and never once had I have been able to see bAnds grace the stage that just start out to see them become great legends today. what an adrenaline rush, something to do.
Did Alice In Chains open for them this night? I think this might have been a little too early for AIC, but wouldn't be surprised.. Either way I feel so blessed to have rocked on this very same historical stage.
Funny you should ask about Alice In Chins being a thing during Andy's time, because footage of them doing a 1990 soundcheck with Andy singing for them has surfaced. The band is playing "I Know Something (About You)", but Andy's singing the lyrics to "Butt Sauce Baby" along to it. This is the footage: th-cam.com/video/grSpPI-xlsM/w-d-xo.html
I remember about 89 I was in a hardcore band and had moved to Seattle the year before. I walked in this place with this model I knew, first noticed that tiny stage in the front windiw, then we walked to the back to this roped off area and she said I wanna introduce you to some friends of mine. " these guys are Mother Love Bone" I had no idea who they were lol. Anyways we all got kinda drunk. They were already on their way ,getting drunk, and I had good time.
Very authentic beautiful charismatic !
I watch it again! Wish I had been there! Phantastic!

30 years! I was 6yo at the time :)
Bruce is pretty kickass, i see why andy always shouts him out
Extremely underrated and overlooked, Steve Turner (Mudhoney) even admitted that Bruce saved Green River after he left

It was a pretty cool time. EVERYONE was talking about these guys. The last time there was excitement like that prior was Heart in the 70's
Thank you for the video
Legendary
such a lovely scaled down crown of thorns version at the end
