For a long time I didn't know that Joe Bonamassa was such a good singer. I know...I just wasn't paying attention. He is multitalented and totally entertaining.

It took him many years to work on his voice.
Compare his "New Day Yesterday" album to "New Day Now" (which was a re-release and re-recording of that album) - his voice is night and day different.
All this man needs to do is stand in one place and play the guitar and sing, and he mesmerizes the audience. What an amazing talent.
Joe Bonamassa is bringing the class back to rock and roll and blues. Everything from the stage apparel to the caliber of pro backing musicians, he sets the bar high and then delivers!

I have just received this apocalyptic album of rare beauty (alocalypse means revelation). The emotion is at the highest level, so much so that I had tears in my eyes while listening to the masterpieces that Joe masterfully chose. We are witnessing a musical perfection of our time. What a joy to live in the present and to discover with pleasure its incomparable genius!

I grew up loving blues guiter, and rock and roll. As did my Dad. He called me one day and asked if I had heard of Joe Bonamassa.
Ironically, the PBS special that night was, duh, Joe Bonamassa live!
I didn't watch it all, because they take too many breaks.
And there no singing, just fierce stratocaster fire!
I immediately bought it.
And that was over 25 years ago!
Now I'm learning the guy CAN SING!!

The greatest guitarist and performer of our time
Best sound quality I've heard from Joe. I can understand the vocals both lead and backup, could hear Josh's beautifully, understated rhythm work. Just beautiful! Then as usual Joe B lights it up, melts it, expresses it like no other I have ever heard. We have this lady at church I tell her she belly sings. She just lets it go. Joe can do it with guitar in his hands.
I met Joe when he was very young, a Fender endorsee. He was traveling with his dad in Chicago one time. I was a factory rep for a bunch of brands visiting Guitar Shack in the city. When Joe and his dad stopped in. I left the retail owner alone to speak with Joe and his dad. I wandered back to the guitar/amp room were I began to noodle. A few minutes later there was this young kid standing over my shoulder asking, "how did you again someday.
His destiny was already well mapped out! The divine gift was there but for the young boy that he was, it took a lot of work and passion to thank the Guardian Angel who had placed a small enchanted feather on his shoulder.
He's original and very talented, bluesy vocals and swanky attire.

The first time I saw Joe Bonimasa was at Vernon Downs, Fireworks Over Central NY. He was just a kid then, but he just kept getting better.
He started out with long hair and a flannel shirt. Played hard rock at an incredible decibel level. My ears rang for 3 days but it was brilliant.
I attended a mega concert in Baden- Baden , Germany a few years ago.Knew him as a blessed guitarplayer. It was like opening a box of gems seeing him live.

Er produziert ein geiles Lied nach dem anderen und wenn es um die Könige an der Blues/Rock Gitarre geht, faseln die Leute von Jimi Hendrix, Steve Vai oder anderen Gitarristen von berühmten Rockbands. Bonamassa kommt nie vor. Irgendwie ist das Blues Wunderkind nie oben angekommen. Für mich schon. Ganz weit oben.
