I just wanted to comment and let you know that I really enjoyed this video. We didn't get the Kelisa here in the USA and I think that's a shame. It looks handsome, appears to be put together very well, nice low beltline, quality looking seat fabrics, and I love the way that engine sounds; it's like a tough motorcycle. I'd be quite happy to drive one of these as a daily commuter.
It's not just a tough motorcycle, it's a pretty tough car. It runs fine after 10-15 years with very low maintenance costs, and that's pretty impressive considering how rough Malaysian roads can be.
I own one. Still using till now, feel like never want to change car. Although the engine standard, i manage to go up 180km/h at highway. Its not just a normal car, it very aerodynamic, the more fast you go the more stable it get. Not like nowadays car that build quality is so light.
It's not a lame car and it think it's a good and reliable car. I have 2 cars and one of them is my mom's Kelisa and mine's BMW. Both of them are from the same year. I have been sending my BMW to service centre because problems kept coming, like power window, radiator, suspension etc but my mom's Kelisa has been giving less problem up till now and still is running good.
This is a great car because it's not pretending to be something else. It's unabashedly a bargain bin car, but that's alright. For the extremely low price, you do get a pretty good value. I put this in the same class as the Geo Metro/Suzuki Cultus. It's the ultimate in basic cars that just work. I don't think I could ever have this as a primary car, but it would be great driving one of these in a densely-packed area without ever worrying about what someone might do to it.
Lol, it doesn't have air conditioning, that's just normal heating! The engine was nice and quiet for a vehicle in it's class, I'll give it that and the review was most excellent thanks :o)
My family used to had this car in 2006 but it was bought in KL when everything was original but then my family sold this car cause it was problem and also it was spoiling a lot. But there is another kelisa but that one is the 1st gen released in 2000.
Your better off with a second hand anything rather than this!!! You can even buy a 10 year old Mercedes S class for less than this (yes I know it's a different league in running costs, but you know what I mean)
i know this is a late comment but no i will still buy a kelisa more than a mercedes bc of the maintenence cost, kelisa is much more cheaper then mercedes even tho both have problems (cuz its an old car ofc) and the kelisa is much more fuel effencient

man so many things wobbling around on this car, it looks like it's about to fall apart lol
Keep that car away from Jeremy Clarkson. lol
My mum have kelisa ezi changed to gxi
Not really. There are tons of cars that are much worse than this. And yes, I am sure that is AC.
No airbag for safety
Boleh tambah airbag, dua airbag
Styling from the early 90s lol.
The only problem with this car is the engine mounting, thats why its rattling as hell
The car was repaired last year so the car is now quite quiet.
Go get em a new shoes man, this is a small fun cheap machine
Its not his car. 3 cylinder engine tends to rock around and thats not a big issue for it.
For that amount of money you can get such a better car...
malaysia
jeremy clarkson did something so harsh to this car~

Put k3ve2 inside... instant power😂
I mean Proton Tiara.
