Yes dont let it lie to you my son had alot of gas with his pressure and it would fill up with air all the time then the glue does not allways stay then you have the liquid poop leaking all over your stomach all over your clothes all over your stitches in your wounds plus when he would go to bed have a hard time now my son passed away dec.2/2018 from the colostomy bag with the ileostomy then cut his upper and lower bowel and he went into septic shock and killed him so think before you get one one life saved by this is worth the warning

This is such a good video animation describing the need for a Stoma (ileostomy or colostomy)!
It's surprising how this detail isn't always explained before or even after surgery - I think it's valuable advice that I wish I knew at the time of surgery.
I'll share this on my @Stomanner channel.

I have a temporary loop ileostomy now, and will have it probably till February when they can reconnect my intestine to the J-pouch the surgeon created. This thing is a gigantic pain in the ass and I hate it. Emptying the bag is messy and gross, and removal is extremely painful because the adhesive sticks so well, even with removal wipes. The output from this thing stinks like nothing I have ever smelled before in my life -- worse than actual poop. I hope I don't get an abdominal infection from an ill-fitting skin barrier and end up in hospital before they can remove this thing.

I don’t mean to sound stupid or offensive, but if the waste are discharged through bags, does that mean that people who have an ostomy bag don’t use their « natural » tubes (anus and urethra )?

Fortunately it's been my answer to remission from Crohns disease and I hope you find the right treatment for your misdiagnosis.
I've actually had a time when swimming and the adhesive came unstuck, the ostomy bag was still contained in my trunks and luckily I'd emptied the pouch before getting in the water. There are times like this you definitely need to plan our think what might happen.

Cancer of the small intestine, or the first stage of the large intestine (colon), necessitating surgical removal of a section; plus, as the video explains, something like Crohns Disease.

Damage to that area can also cause it, for example if you get in a bad car crash and just so happy to get injured in one of the intestines and it needs time to heal you'll get this.
