I am a native of western Texas and one of my late grand mothers actually made every one of these desserts. Interesting history about pineapple, they are grown in Hawaii however they are native to South America. Famous Texas bakery "Collin Street Bakery" uses Pineapples in their deluxe fruit cakes and they also own their own Pineapple plantation in Costa Rica. Upside Down Pineapple cake is one of my favorites.
I would go north, south, east and west for these recipes😊❤🤗💕🙃💖😁!!!

I made the Blum’s Coffee Crunch Cake off a video segment I saw with Martha and Bay Area legend Tante Marie. A few recipe variations but basically the same. I made it twice and turned out great both times. Making it for Mother’s Day this weekend. It’s unique and wonderful; even for those who dislike coffee, such as myself.
That cake is so beautiful; I’m in love. Wish someone would make that for me for my birthday. 🥰

I will try to try the pineapple upside down cake. For my one sons grooms cake, my older son said to make a cake with rum and coconut flavor, so I did, but didn’t like it, so also made a carrot cake and mardi gra party cake, and fitted them into his favorite football team state. Date bars are the best.

My one G’ma won lots of blue ribbons for her cinnamon rolls at her Iowa county fair, but my other G’ma never made them, but she made bars and cookies, and pies. I never saw my cinnamon roll G’ma make a pie, or anything with lettuce or greens. Her salads were jello with whipped cream, ice cream and strawberries.
In the Individual Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes how much Vanilla Extract would you use if you don't have the Vanilla Bean ?
1 tablespoon of real vanilla extract should be ok.
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract! 😊
