Hey, why is the sodium fluoride tube used for blood alcohol test?

Sodium fluoride prevents glucose from being broken down (which is the precursor to ethanol) so in forensic alcohol testing it means you can trust that the ethanol in the sample was present at draw and was not generated in the tube.
