Awesome video. I've used the yard enforcer for years and been very happy with it. But you've definitely pointed out the issues and come up with some creative solutions. I like very much that the project is - very mobile and - doesn't attach directly to the house water source. Thank you for all the very tiniest of details, which usually make my DIY experience a total pain!
great video! Anychance you could give me any clues on minimum operating pressure? Do you think it would be possible to spray at just a 2m distance at max? TIA
I love this idea. Leaving the hose on gives me dread that I'm going to wake up with the Everglades in my yard. One hose burst on me already. Luckily I heard it and got it right away. But what also gives me dread is thinking about trying to build this. It's not the cost as much as I knowing it would take me 12 hours, enough cursing to summon a demon that I'll then have to deal with, several trips back up the hardware store, and probably a few expensive extra parts I didn't need or weren't correct that I'll forget to take back. Maybe I can split the difference. Is there a detailed parts list somewhere, including all the fittings?
@@DIYable yes I'm using it for my deck and it allows me to have one controller that runs the water from 11pm to 8am daily. And the benefit is I can turn it off through my phone if I have guests that stay outdoors past the 11pm activation time.
Not sure if Groundhog is that annoying or destructive as Raccoons. One of the reasons I need to get rid of racoons is because of their feces, they come to my yard and poop... Baylisascaris procyonis (raccoon roundworms) is extremely deadly, not a lot of people realize that.
Why is a small yard not worth it for a simple electrical fence? Run 2 wires across the top of your fence with a 24/48v potential with a 500ma fuse or self resetting relay. Run wire on top of some 1/2" plastic coated staples on top of fence. Shock deterrent will keep them off that section of the fence, and they will avoid your yard via that ingress/egress.
I say the biggest problem is the neighbors, you have to get 3 sides of neighbors to agree with you, and there maybe local bylaws that may not allowed to put it on top of the fence. In US and Canada, people love to file lawsuit on everything, I honestly would want to avoid that. If you have a bigger yard, you can put it on the lawn, then you don't have to run 2 wires.. just 1 wire with a very good grounding rod will shock the animals. Yes, I agree with you technically, it's doable from technical stand point.

This is perfect for my build, thank you
How many cycles before tank is empty
Amazing. I'm going to try this. Can this intake water from a rain barrel instead of tap and still maintain that pressure for sprinkler?

What adapter are you using? Looks like a Gardena?? Please let me know. I am in the UK, and cant frigging figure out how to fix!
That's correct if you are referring to the quick connect, Gardena is correct.
I tried using it and it keeps coming loose and pooling my garden. I want to use an air pressure tank like you, but wife isn't a big fan lol!
Bravo 👏🏻
You can use a bluetooth water controller which will replace the two you have that will allow you to set the irrigation time as as long as you want.
Really? Good to know, Thanks!!!!

Not that I hope you have groundhog 😉but really would like to see you do a video for groundhog deterrent!
