It peaked on DN3D, and any changes to the formula will be met with hostility, like the one-liners, Duke without them won't be the Duke (even if they can be turned off in game settings). And without changing, it will be lambasted by critics for how offensive, chauvinistic and bigoted its themes are (think back to the Ion Fury's soap drama). Also, just how much faith in Randy do you have to even think that a new Duke game would be any good?

Just listening to this and reading the story when I came across the [Play Track 1] Part- Hot dang this makes that so much cooler. But I almost wish there was just- ambient music for this world rather than finding some cyberpunk remix to fit each part of the story before the tracks. Even still, this is such a dang good song. After listening to this original version and Audiofreq's remix I can finally share some thoughts. This version: Epic cyberpunk gunfight situation happening while this plays. Audiofreq's version: Plays while exploring the cyberpunk-set city with all the neon lights and amazing sights.
Hey Geoffrey, I had an idea. The coolest part about a doom track are the stems always being in sync with music. Ambient, Light Combat, and Heavy Conbat. My ideas to create tracks that would suit these criteria with the argent metal style, while having it fit the enviroment for something. Something Mick, Andrew and David nail is the enviroments. The music still sounds like Doom, but it gives the vibe of the location you are in. Here is a few ideas for some enviromental tracks if you wanna try this for a video. 2 of these are listed in the codex for Doom Eternal, one of them is an idea I had. The Sloughlands: A hellish landscapey foggy forrest where the Cacodemons come from. The Burning Abyss: A lava fueled crater with a lake of burning sulfur, where the lava Baron Of Hell come from. Elysium: A thing from my own imagination not based of Doom Eternal's Codex. Basically, its the realm of the true God of the universe(the being who created Davoth). Its a large golden divine city guarded by angelic abominations(biblically accurate angels). Its full of Caves with fountains and rivers of liquid gold, gates which guard a prison of stars where demons are tortured, temples of fire, and other heavenly but still metal af jumbo. Just some fun ideas I came out with, either way, love your work dude! I'd love to hear more originals from you!
The codexes from 2016 and Eternal do mention some sick locations, like the Lake of Fire with glass shores, blood pools of Angrax, a black desert where the whiplash comes from, a factory run by an AI that manufactures Arachnotrons non-stop, and of course the ones you mentioned
Simply exquisite. This gets me going harder than DOOM and that's saying something. btw it would be very cool of you to check out The Surge 2, it's one of my favorite games in the cyperpunk genre. It's a cyberpunk/science fiction souls-like with a main emphasis on exoskeleton melee combat. you can fight with heavy, two handed maces, one handed hammers, spears, swords, staffs, double-duty weapons, twin wrist mounted weapons, etc. It's soundtrack is OK and serves it's purpose decently enough but I would really like you to expand upon what is there and give it your own spin as you always do. With all due respect, Hardboiled_Cat.
