  • Join me, Brian Lessinger, as I delve into the heart of Reno-Tahoe living in this eye-opening video. With over 34 years of residing in the region and my vast experience as a local realtor, I offer a unique perspective on what life is truly like in Reno-Tahoe.
To find out #10 and in my opinion the biggest factor of relocating to Reno, Click here • Why You Shouldn't Move...
In this video, I share my insights on the top ten factors you might want to consider before making a move. From the unique climate, the constant hustle and bustle of our 24-hour city, increased traffic, shopping experiences, walkability, to the shift in our small-town vibe, I cover it all! I also touch on the aspects of local schools, public transportation, sports, and, most importantly, housing affordability.
These are not deterrents but rather points to ponder before settling in Reno-Tahoe. Every city has its pros and cons, and having a clear understanding can help you make the best decision.
Whether you're planning a move to Reno-Tahoe, interested in our real estate market, or just curious about life in this vibrant region, this video is packed with valuable insights!

I was wondering about the transportation, so I'm really grateful you brought that up. I have a disability that affects my ability to drive, and America in general has gotten rid of a lot of its transportation systems. A lot of people just say Uber but it adds up quick and many places still don't have it. It gave me another point to think about as I'm currently pretty stranded and trying to get out of that situation so thank you again.

I moved to Reno in 97 And yes, I've seen it grown obviously but I left Orange County because of the expense And the traffic And to this day, even though it's got busier Still beats orange county traffic Wise I hope you moved since You hate it here. Other places have problems with transportation Actually, even worse.

We've been here 1 year and love it here. Live in quiet neighborhood that is walkable, we do have a university level sports teams, its called the Wolfpack, this is a 100% military veterns supported town. The only thing I have issues with is the high utilitys, electric costs are outrages. The freeway the spagetti bowl is scary. The shopping is here. There are several out door malls. There is s nice airport.

I was born here but lived in San Luis Obispo for a while i swear to god Reno has the same price points as slo without the perks of being on the beautiful cost. On top of that I can’t ride my bike here the cities are not walkable. There arnt any trees unless you go down town or to north Reno.

@echo5827 hmm idk, I was in Cali and my gas is not 6 bucks a gal. And it s not 36 dollars to go to Jack in the crack. So I call us bro. Not to sound condescending but Cali is a complete disaster. Sorry. I just can't see why you say it's worse here than there. Oh and your ocean view smells terrible and burns my eyes when I swim in the ocean over there. So ya enjoy, very glad your happy, cause we have too many moving here anyway. 🍻 👏 ✌️ 🥂

@@elenasosa7416 Exactly! 100% agree! Reno doesn't have the perks like other areas but is oddly expensive. I lived in CA north valley most of my life and even tho it got sweltering hot your always in the shade because big trees are everywhere.
Produce is cheaper in CA due to it being the largest AG producing state.
Gas is definitely more expensive in Reno than NorCal because of the bay area refineries.
I just don't get it. Reno is expensive for what? To live out in the desert???

The traffic here is nothing. It moves extremely quickly for “traffic”. It’s just that it’s so often in varying areas because of the exhausting amount of construction on a daily basis. We’re constantly working on the roads because of the weather. Every spring blows because the winter tears up our roads. The freeway traffic is easy to manage though, and living next to the aces stadium, I have to say that we can definitely do without a more excitable sports scene. The aces stadium is enough. Too much in fact. I live a block away from the aces stadium, and during the on season I have to go way out of my way to travel anywhere downtown by car. Although according to the GSR, that’s changing anyways. Apparently we’re getting a massive basketball stadium for UNR on GSR property.
