Sylosis is so under rated!! Josh Middleton is a beast
Aggreed, discovered them in 2010 and have loved their music since. I still love Jamie Graham as the vocalist better, because I felt it gave the band more melody and Josh’s guitar playing was a lot more difficult. Probably because he didn’t have to concentrate on singing and playing everything
Also worth noting: Ali Richardson is the drummer who's also in bleed from within.
and Conor is playing bass for Conjurer ;)

That introduction reminded me of the early years of Fear Factory.
Sylosis made a complete metalcore song! I see the influence of Architects, while the style of the band remains intact.

@@NickName-th9wf don’t let this track make you think Sylosis has changed. Josh said this next album is the heaviest work they’ve ever done and he made sure to clarify that this track isn’t off the new album.
@@llMau5 That would be great. Loved EOTE and Monolith, Dormant Heart was also great but Cycle of Suffering was just solid for me. TBH i miss Rob Callard on the drums too, I just liked his style better.

Band rules
Think it’s fair to say that Sylosis has surpassed architects at this point…Love architects but the last album was meh and the new one is shaping up to be quite flat.
They’ve almost always been ahead of them Imo, edge of the earth, monolith, conclusion of an age are all pretty much perfect album. I’d put those 3 records above any Sylosis record, Josh is honestly kind of wasted in architects and it’s a bummer Sylosis is not big enough for him to spend all his time working on.

Josh Middleton is a metal god, absolute genius, honestly the bar for Sylosis is so high I’d consider this mid stuff for them, still a good song tho. Can’t wait for the new album

This song isn’t in Standard Tuning. It’s C# Standard
yeah it isn't standard, they dropped to D for Cycle of Suffering and now they're in C#, although Josh has said he doesn't intend on going any lower.
