Our lakes in Southern Saskatchewan are full of them. I only catch them ice fishing and they are everywhere probably the easiest fish to find. Usually when you get to deeper than 15ft you can find them. I use small tungsten jigs to catch them. Not sure if that's helpful at all. It's kind of location dependant.
It is helpful. Thanks I’m looking at a small lake with clear water that has some. I’ve read that they are fussy about thermocline. Will try jiggin this week up in North Eastern Ontario.
