Welding On Stout Backhoe Thumb

We purchased a weld on mechanical thumb for our old Kubota L35 BT900 Backhoe. This video shows how we positioned it, and made it fit the dipper exactly. At the end we demonstrate how to pick up rocks and dig a hole with the thumb in place.
Used tractor grapple, chainsaw, Foley Belsaw M-14 circle sawmill. Triple T Ranch & Sawmill on Choctaw Ridge is homesteading with a sawmill & anvil.

You gave me a ideal about tack the thumb in place, I think I'm going to do the same thing but for sml mini excavator.

David rest the thumb in between bucket and arm. Roll bucket up and thumb should be positioned so it does not touch near hinge
