You know what I REALLY like in this video? The HONEST 'I'm one guy with a camera' video perspective. Nothing fancy, no 'hidden camera operator' - all 'riginal - like the car...really nice tail lights and faired-in headlights...I've never seen one of these live...thank you for the video.
It was so cool being able to see the full view of what you’re doing with the ignition, and gas pedal. It’s the involvement new cars don’t have during cold starts that’s so boring. Push a key and go! Lol Thank you!
Yes my Aunt in 1950 bought a new 50 Lincoln Cosmopolitan, those were a bit bigger and had a one piece windshdshield, these EL's was a Mercury from the windshield back. I think the El series looked best as a coupe, and in 51 they had a lido coupe with basically a vinyl top on it to make it appear to be a hardtop
I’ve had a 50’ L74 Sport Sedan just like that. Had 5 of these baby Lincolns now, soon to be 6 I hope. No idea why I like such a weird car, & the 337’s are a PAIN to find parts for, but hey, I dig rare & weird! Also- I heard you call it a Cosmopolitan. It’s not- Cosmos ran an entirely different body than the baby Lincolns.
NO INFORMATION WAS GIVEN SO HERE IT S 1950 EL SEDANS SOLD 11.741 . ENGINES WERE 336.7 CU IN DISPLACEMENT 152 HP. THE TRANSMISSION WAS GM HYDRAMATIC. Amazing. I admire these backyard mechanics and their patience. These '48-'51 Linc's are obscure as collector cars, they deserve more love
It was a big ol' beast!! LOL!

They are oddly satisfying! LOL!!
I just bought one of these, the 337 runs great but I am concerned if I ever do end up needing parts for it. Any recommendations of where to look?
sweet old Lincoln needs a little more 💘
Would make a cool family cruiser!!
Those old 6 volt systems were so slow. We had a 1949 Ford 8n had to pop the clutch to get her going in cold weather, like our 1950 f1 50+ years ago.
LOL!! That's funny! Thanks for watching!
Awesome
