This is the "baby" Lincoln. It originally was supposed to have been the all-new 1948 Merc. The car that became the 49 Merc was supposed to have been the new 1948 Ford.

My grandfather had 2 of the 49 version of this, a grey one and a black one.
My guess is that it was previously owned by a master mechanic………….not a body and paint guy. Lol! Gotta love that flathead.
