Daniel, looks like Brooks is finally warming up to you! Funny how we've seen more of her lately on Arms Family than on Cross Timbers. She's a fine helper and will be a heck of a farm hand soon.
Yeah bison work isn't super toddler friendly! The baby ducks and donkey are much more her speed.

Hello Daniel and DeeJay! Phoebe is ADORABLE! Such huge eyes! She weighs about the same as our lab puppies when they went to their furever homes! Hope she gets to feeling better soon! Looking at Bear in the beginning of the video on the left side of my screen, eagerly lifting his head to see what Daniel was up to. Clearly, to me, Bear is Daniel's best friend (naturally) I love watching Bear show his love to Daniel in his eager loving manner. What a dog Bear is! He is the sweetest! PS I love the name Phoebe and hope she is on the mend.
Phoebe is so adorable, I have a dachshund that had the same thing as Phoebe with her growth plate. The vet said we might have to do surgery, but we waited until she was a year old. But low and behold it fixed it self. So I’m sure it will be the same for Phoebe.

Good to see a fellow NYer in here. NY has changed so much in the last 30 years sadly. It's a beautiful state that has it al. Most states dont have what NY has. The ocean, mountains lakes, seaways the greatest city in the world that's been destroyed by politics like much of the state and NIAGARA FALLS. The northeast USA is an amazing place with NY being the crown jewel.

I don’t understand why she was removed from her momma so young. Seems like if her mom rejected her whoever you got her from should have told you.

Love the bear for the donkey. They have a pacifer dog toy you can get the donkey. The donkey needs a ball she can roll around.

She is the sweetest thing! I hope she does well for you. 🤞 I work at a vet and we recently had an orphan mini mule foal in for FPT , and it was the most heartbreaking thing. Unfortunately they did not know to administer colostrum immediately at birth, waited too long, and the baby unfortunately had to be euthanized. 😔 So glad you guys went to the vet with her 💜 thank you for sharing as always. ☺️

Yes, Phoebe (great name) is precious and adorable, for sure!
I had a baby goat that was a twin get so tight in the womb it could not stand when it was born. The mom rejected it. Pushed it down a hill. I found it and held the mom down to let it get the first milk. Then put it on a bottle. I used human baby therapy on it legs. I would exercise it's legs at each bottle. And when I could between bottles. After it was able to stand, I would make it squat down and it had to pick it self up. Over and over and over. Took months of work. The goat started jumping and playing like normal after a couple months of therapy. What did the fastest was where it had to pick itself back up. Slow and steady giving it's body time to catch up.
My bottle baby had a blanket and a stuffed little rabbit also. I had my scent all over everything. Stopped some of the crying for me.
In 1975 we got a baby donkey from Death Valley. The rangers suggested hanging a blanket at a level where he could put his head under it. They learned that from the wild donkeys standing with their heads in the laundry as it hung on the line! We did as advised, and he did snuggle up to the blanket. Our vet said he was about 5 1/2 months old. He was quite an adventure!
