What a handsome and brave young man you have there! I remember the day my youngest got his haircut ( he was 3 and his hair was curly and blond) he hated every minute of it! When his hair started growing back it was as straight as it could get. His curly hair never came back! You are amazing parents and gave your son a choice! He's such a good boy and I love his new haircut. Hopefully his curls will come back if he wants longer hair in the future! My deep appreciation to your wife and others that didn't want this to happen but allowed your beautiful boy Houston to make this choice on his own. Your family is a pleasure to watch!!

I understands mom's reluctance & wanting to hol on as long as possible to that young man! Totally understand.

I know guys don’t care about urls, but Momma’s do, and we shed a few tears. I’ve only been gardening a few years. Always wanted to live I. The country and have a big garden. It would have been easier when I was younger but I figure God had a purpose for us being in Houston, but I have a small raised garden. Being in the garden is a wonderful place to talk to the Lord. lol well it had to be done, if they went on any longer her attachment to that hair would be so much worst. Usually it happens if they cant imagine how someone would look with short hair, but now that she can actually imagine it im sure she will get over it. I find that children don't get the fuss about "long hair", because as kids they want to try the newer haircuts like all their friends. I think the attachment to long hair really comes from adults, because they know its hard to obtain (lots of maintenance during growth). But honestly think a kid can only appreciate long hair when they have had several haircuts to know its what they want. Besides its best to let him choose his own styles, since its his hair. Glad they did this for him ;)

I'm 43yrs old always had really short to no hair at all for as long as I can remember. I just started growing my hair out just about a year ago. I do security work from northern California to San Diego to Nevada, I've learned to love my shoulder length hair. One thing I do need to always do is keep it clean and well groomed to help me keep up with the professionalism of my job. Great job little man! 🤙🏻🤟🖖✌
