A Summer Day At Disney's Animal Kingdom! | Magic Band+, Awesome Safari, Flame Tree BBQ & NEW Treat!

- In today's vlog we head to Disney's Animal Kingdom for a fun Summer day at the park! We test out our new Magic Band+ with the golden 50th statues. We were able to complete the statue quest in this park because there were so few statues. Then we head over to Dinosaur because the wait time was so low and afterwards we ride the safari. It was an awesome safari ride, the animals were out and active! We also had lunch at Flame Tree BBQ, we haven't eaten there in a bit so it was a nice change but I wasn't blown away by my food. I'll give it another try though! Then we had a new treat at Zuri's Sweet Shop, which wasn't my favorite. I'm still looking for a new cookie to try though so let me know in the comments if you know of one I should try. We hope you had fun hanging out at Animal Kingdom today! Please tell her that I thought her narration was one of the best I have heard. It was clear and playful and didn't sound like she had done it 15 times already that day.
I was a CP back in 2018 and one of my friends became a full time safari driver. That driver sounds like it could be my friend but I'm not so positive, but if it is her she did one heck of a job!
Good to know Disney supports animal cruelty and captivity.. those rhinos looked so trapped and depressed. :(
@@connor8558 do you know what happens to Rhinos in the wild? Do you know where their rhinos come from? Humans are crueler to one another on a daily basis, but keep on.
They live free and wild lives instead of being monetized for humans viewership in a cage

I think that safari cast member is my favorite once I've ever heard. Some cast member can be a bit too extra but she was very genuine and chill. She did a great job!

I used to make magic at Animal Kingdom and if I remember correctly, all of the gear at Gupta's gear are actually abandoned/lost items from the real Everest!
Tim, I appreciate your effort to make it feel cool, but the magic band interaction with the statues is low rent. I see no reason to get the Magic Band Plus. Big miss on Disney's part so far.
Does it do anything else apart from the statues?
@@rach5516 For now, I believe the only other thing it does is let you play a game in Galaxy's Edge.
It also interacts with the fireworks but it didn’t look that great!
The magic band also works for photo pass. I did it last week. Thanks for all the nice videos. Jackson is getting so big.

The Wookie Cookie at Hollywood Studios was our favorite last week when we were there! We got it both days we were at Hollywood!
That was honestly prob the Safari tour guide I’ve heard - as far as tone of voice, inflection and not sounding rehearsed, she was great! What a treat! Love the vibe at DAK! ❤️
Was there this past Monday, just love the amazing detail in this park!! And rode Expedition Everest again for the first time in many years, forgot how awesome it is!! Hotter that Satan’s waiting room but still had an amazing time!!😊
Every park should have more trees like AK it makes the hot days so much better with more shade.
@@MygirlsGJPB more trees is a win-lose situation. Yes it gives you more shade, but it also makes the park significantly more humid.

I had a grea ice cream cookie sandwich right around the corner from Flame Tree, at a little kiosk in Dinoland. It was really good!
Dino-Bite Snacks
Thought I would add this here. I was looking on Shop Disney, and they do have the chargers for the MagicBand+ available separately on the website. So if you can't find them in the parks, you can buy one online before your trip, or in your case when you need one.

Kudos to your safari cast member I thought she was great!! Also. Kudos to you for explaining the SSA and how important that is and what zoos and aquariums are doing. I have so many zoo keepers as friends 2 of them came from AK and worked with the gorillas there. Keep up the great work. I agree everyone needs a good cookie

We love the peanut butter chocolate chunk cookies. They can be found in the Main St. Confectionary, the main gift shop in the Contemporary, Goofys Candy Co, Big Top Souvenirs to name a few. There in the case not prepackaged.
Animal Kingdom is a favorite for me. It switches between Epcot and Animal Kingdom.
I just noticed all of the fruit as well when we were there last week! We also got to bring our Zuri into Zuri's sweet shop, she loved it.
This vlog makes me want to just go to Animal Kingdom and the other parks and just enjoy the theme.
Hi, Animal Kingdom is awesome. I love Dinosaur, but I scream through the whole thing, not because of Dinosaurs, but because of the fast and wavy track ride. My Mom rode the first time this year vacation and she loved it, but it did get her like me. Sadly we didn't get to ride Safari this year, but we did go on it 2 years ago vacation. Here at home we the Alamo Tennessee Safari Park and it's almost the same, just not as many big animals, and you drive your own car, and you can feed the African Animals, it's one of the coolest Animal things to do in West Tennessee. I love AK, it's just so laid back and peaceful. Being in Georgia, we just make our own pulled pork, I think it might be a law here that you have to have smoker. Hubby's Daddy made ours for us, when he fires that thing up the whole neighborhood is happy because he does at least 3 butts, 2 or 3 racks of ribs and 4 or 5 packs of sausages.
Also, no need for a LL for Everest if you are by yourself. Single Rider takes 10 minutes.

Have you ever done or can you do that added on adventure where you are behind the scenes and walk across the bridge over the crocodiles? And then you get a meal included. I can’t remember the exact name of the adventure.

The best Disney world cookie was the white chocolate chunk cookie from the magic kingdom candy shop! Haven’t seen it in a couple months so it may be discontinued but keep your eye out! It came pre packaged with chef Minnie on it or you could get it at the counter. Hands down best theme park cookie!

I always love going into Zuri Sweets and getting one of those animal-shaped cookies. They're pretty basic, but to me they're sooo good for some reason lol.
My family went to Disney back in 2010 (I was 9) and the Dinosaur ride TERRIFIED me lol I held my ears and closed my eyes the whole time 😂😂

Hey Tim! We were able to find the Partner Statue MagicBand+ there at the Riverside Depot/Discovery Trading Company in Animal Kingdom about a week ago! ✨ Just goes to show how varied inventory is across the parks! 🤔

I believe the wait time is until you board the ride...the one time I was given the "red tag" it was collected when I boarded the "doom buggy" not when I was in the "stretching room".
oh for that Magic Band+ Charger, since it is so short, you could get a USB extension cable for it.

I was there the day you filmed! I saw you and was too nervous to say hi! I was eating at Flame Tree Barbecue when you filmed the little quiet pond area!
We haven’t found tons of good cookies in the parks but two gems are the cookie sandwich from the Germany Caramel shop and a deep dish cookie from the Main Street Confectionery. We love the peanut butter cookie. It’s soo good!

Hey Tim and Jenn! Since you asked, You and I have a pretty (seemingly) similar love for peanut butter and chocolate in our cookies Tim. Some of my favorites are, the Minnie Mouse Chocolate Chip Lava Cake at the harbor house, the Carmel pretzel cookie in the Karamel Kuche in the Germany Pavilion, the Snickers cookies at the front of magic in the main street bakery. Also the Wookie cookie is pretty cool too! For me the best cookie in the parks still has to be the numnum cookie, it's just the best, but these are great options to try too! It would be fun if you did a cookie review around the parks some day, it would be interesting to see which one you guys liked the best!
People always say AK is the hottest park, but I always thought EPCOT was because of the lack of shade. AK has lots of trees and shady areas you can sit and take a break in. The only area of AK I thought was broiling was the walk to and from the buses.

I can’t help but feel super underwhelmed by almost all the sounds the statues make…when it’s jus the music I like when you hear the characters voice which is what you would expect it to be.

Oh yeah, it reminds me of old Garmin charging cables, if you are familiar. The end that attaches to the band is crazy wonky.

How does the MagicBand+ work if you have an adult for 1 phone and 2 kids with MagicBand+? I'm not worried about the bounty hunting etc (even though we're a pretty competitive family haha) but if both kids can't have their own account I'm not sure how well that would go over?

Good chocolate chip cookie is at the outdoor food/snack area near liberty tree and haunted mansion where they sell pretzels, fruit, etc. first time I had it it was so warm and soft! Second time it was soft but not warm but it was pretty good!
