  • This tenth chapter of the documentary series, Alaskan: A Modern Day Gold Rush, we take a look at modern day gold miners on the beach of Nome, Alaska. The beaches of Nome (and just offshore) are literally littered with gold. This discovery became a new promised land for the Stampeders of the Great Klondike Gold Rush of the late 1800's, and sparked a new gold rush in Nome. To this day, miners are still finding gold in this rich sand. We also check in with the participants of the Gold Prospectors Association of America's Alaska Gold Expedition. Tune in for dredging, panning, and highbanking for gold in Nome.
