When my father died, I found his old Deepak cassette tape. I listened while driving through the countryside and found something wonderful. Thank you, Deepak and dad for leaving these things behind.

Deepak means light and he is really one. What is wonderful is he spreads it to all for free. Also, thank you Satish Kumar for brining Deepak’s brilliance to us.

Once we begin to "wake up," it is astounding how our priorities change. What used to be so important to us - like getting more "stuff" in this material world, or trying to feed our shallow egos by winning an argument - slowly loses it's pull until we barely notice them any more. And the main thing we now “see” is the fundamental, all-important consciousness within each of us. The rest is window dressing.

Our human bodies are designed to be self-healing. The fact is, when we are in balance physically, bio-chemically and emotionally, we heal.

i came to this video to learn how to heal from physical, mental and emotional abuse after my abuser was incarcerated. Instead I'm hearing a whole lecture about a number of things; this really helped get my mind of everything bothering me and focus as well as learn about new things. My anxiety and high heart rate has gone down immensely. I'm so calm just listening to this. 🙏 Thank You 💛
This might be my go-to video.

This guy is melding science and spirituality. He therefore takes this neutral stance and is on the side of the scientist. He is a perfect bridge to help the scientist that has not believed in spirituality to begin to believe in that possibility in a real way. In this he is superb, perfect and totally excellent. All the 'spiritual' people posting here criticising him are obviously totally missing this essential value. The very spiritual person doesn't really 'need' to hear this. The unspiritual scientist does. Perhaps his frustration is centered in the hoard of people that are opposing his every noble effort? If so I am one that will project good thoughts to him to offer insight into the short sightedness of others and deliver him from that.

This is why all our spiritual leaders tell us to "go inside" and feel for the truth of who we are. One can intellectually understand a spiritual concept and even be convinced that it's based in truth, but they can never "know" (for themselves) whether it really is true (they will have their doubts) until they bypass their beliefs and reflect on that concept from the objective stance of what lies beneath all the mental efforts to keep an ego intact - a "space" of simply understanding w/out words

After watching this, the rest of the morning, I've had an internal monologue ala Deepak Chopra, complete with the accent: "After fastening the seatbelt, I feel 75% safer; My clothes feel 12.5% tighter after eating that bagel, and although my parasympathetic nervous system tells me I am satiated, my prefrontal cortex made up its mind that this is delicious so I eat another bite" etc etc. Its stopped thankfully, probably 99%.

He is on point. I gave up sickness prior to 18. I am 38 and sickness has not been part of my life since I declared it. Our bodies are made to self heal and if we trust in our source then we can live in perfect health. Deepak is a wonderful teacher with amazing insight and we are fortunate to have his teachings.

No one can deny that when we heal naturally the physical body, we also heal the mind and the spirit. This talk is very interesting in the way it covers the concept to bring us to visualize how everything is interralated in the universe at the atomic level.
"We are all connected; To each other, biologically. To the earth, chemically. To the rest of the universe, atomically." ~ Neil deGrasse Tyson

  • @MBTEVENTS
    @MBTEVENTS 13 ปีที่แล้ว +16

To add a note: In Deepak's PBS series he stated that " reality is not only stranger than we think, it is stranger than we can think" He suggested that the key was science, physics. I followed that and found My Big TOE by Tom Campbell, physicist and consciousness expert who began researching with Robert Monroe. His statement here that "your mind is not in your brain, it's everywhere" And, you are not your physical body, resonates with this work.

Frustratingly, (because I'm full of ego and desire for control), every time I listen to these talks my mind begins piecing together the experiences of my life. Everything that has boggled me and left me full of fear, failures, pain takes on clarity. The sound of these videos takes a back seat to creativity, and that which seemed indecipherable and pointless, even chaotic, makes sense on another level. Put simply, it's like being colour blind to red, and given glimpses of it and it's potential to deeper experience. Some days I think I'm just not paying attention to whoever is speaking, until realizing the gift of this clarity. Folks who think in a more black and white way, which has it's place and I appreciate in others, are simply filtering the world and language with a different set of sensory equipment. (or colouring an interpretation with more or fewer crayons :) ). Grateful for the exposure to creative and open thinkers.

His thoughts are consistent with everything we learn in neuroscience, psychology and biology, coming from an Honors Student at the most difficult public university in one of the largest states in the U.S. Visionaries always garner haters. My one critique would be to say that the only parts of our brain that regenerate gray matter are in the hippocampus and the olfactory bulb. So maybe that's why our consciousness continues even though the rest of our cells die off and regenerate-because the actual neurons remain the same! Unless I missed something.
But I understand and agree with the rest of what he said.

Is one not allowed to have an opinion if they are questioning someone with Certificates and letters after their names? I know of a great many people who opted out of mainstream education....it doesn't make them any less equal.....same can be said for careers - There are plenty of Workers in the UK, who have been University educated and found the only jobs available to them, after years of study, are shop floor work or - zero contract hour fast food industry. Unless you're 'connected' these days, ANY job is a 'good' job
As a human being, I see myself equal to everyone else on this planet - if I wish to compliment - or criticise, I feel there should be no barrier, either for me, or anyone else to do the same 👍

Recognizing and working with yourself and environment (including social environment) as a symbiotic process is not necessarily a "revelation" but a call to responsibility for self, others, and everything we come in contact with. Yea, the concept of "being entangled" with everyone and thing around you as an "extended self/conciousness" is simply a productive means of discussing our world. I would love to lecture like this too. I hope to get there.

i find this so funny cuz at the end of the day michelle big ass mouth and the others are just going to think. just like she had to think to write a comment. so dont pretend like you are on such a big deal level.( i take experiences and think about it.?....then you say take what applies in life and leave the rest (btw another thought) but you are also basically saying copy what evryone else does since we shouldnt think for ourselves. maybe since you have that state of mind you misunderstood what is meant by think for yourself. not in an egoistic way but rather in a way to say that you should come to your own conclusions and not always join the pack because its more comfortable!!!!!!!

You dont think you dont get fresh ideas and you dont grow. I think issue is too much chatter in the head. too many thinking processes taking a person to state of distraction. i do meditation to clear out my mind so that I can do thinking. Its hard to put most of this stuff in words though. Human beings are very complex creatures.

I'm healthy, thankfully. I don't know how a person will feel, but I can think.
Love and compassion are important as they can bring comfort to a person in distress, meditation relaxes a person. But, that's that, it does not cure a person from something like cancer, neither it can prevent it.
Happy people, who have extremely positive attitude throughout their lives can also get cancer.

The same thing happened in my work at a local natural foods market in the supplement department for many years -- people told me all about it - all their frustration with the medical industry and all the ludicrous experiences they had that told me they weren't respected. I always seriously suggested that they fire that physician, - but then they would have had to take responsibility for their own health - so most of them laughed it off since they weren't ready for that.

Deepak is speaking from that which he knows. Just as the medical community speaks about what they know to be true. Both are profiting. Deepak chooses to inform people about another way of thinking, in order to empower, to help one heal and/or refrain from illness and disease. He is a pioneer, and his work, in itself, is a beautiful, selfless act. If you chose to see him as a fraud, that is your right. However, you are missing out on so much. Namaste.

As someone who sees energy in people, I see that Deeprak has a good heart though I think he lacks vulnerability and isn't as open- hearted in this video as the man who introduced him. When you are not open- hearted you tend to live 'in your head' which I believe is why Deeprak tends to make simple concepts appear so complicated!

So, some of us are going through this spiritual phase, and maybe tomorrow we will turn into critical thinking, but i am pretty sure being invested at one point or another paved the way towards critical thinking that otherwise perhaps it would have never happened. Totally. Watch the movie Food Matters. There's a lady in the movie talking about when you "heal" somebody (even though she's referring to the physical aspect) the entire body should heal; in other words, "you can't heal one thing without healing the whole." Something along the lines of that. Although, like Deepak's illustrated, mind and body are interconnected.

That "space" is what the new-agers might call the "heart-space" or "heart-mind." Others (older religions) would simply call it the soul, or spirit. It's by becoming more and more aware of the spirit that one overcomes the deep sense of confusion (about identity, what life is about, time, death, etc.) and fear that comes with the resulting uncertainty that awaits us at the moment of death. It's only by rooting our awareness in spirit that we may overcome all of our fears and live in peace.

Some people think for themselves and others feel for themselves, that's the only difference. If one is led by thoughts alone they typically get lost (in their beliefs) and confused, sometimes conscious of the confusion and sometimes not. Those who're led by feelings (intuition) have a stronger sense of "knowing" (they don't feel confused), they simply trust that what comes out of following what they feel to be be right and true is, in fact, "truth." Experience vs. logic, knowing vs believing.

The sun, the air is free... water and food used to be free. I guess people want free stuff because they aren't multi millionaires and have many financial pressures... Question is, why does someone with 80 million in bank want another 80 million? That's a question too.

+utopiaopera Water and food used to be free over 2,000 years ago. We do not live in that era. Just because you have financial pressures just like most everybody else in the world does not mean anyone owes you free stuff. And as far as him having 80 millions in the bank - which is what seems to be your main issue - as long as you keep focused on what others have and how they should give you free stuff because of it you are going to keep having financial difficulties and block financial blessings.

I mean, honestly, what is your motivation to justify such selfish, hoarding interests!

    • @SabrinaDacosta
