@@donhostiarra88 Yes I agree the game was not Hi Res to start off, if it was HD quality it would have been superb and superior. PS2 does not have component, the PS3 does but cannot upscale the game to HD as it was not rendered or made in HD.
Forget the mechanics... The soundtrack alone blew my mind as a 15 year old. I never knew that such soulful music ever existed. This game basically opened my eyes to a whole new world in terms of visceral sensations.

Absolutely love this game, was the first stealth game I had ever played back as a kid, month's before MGS, Rikimaru to this day is still my favourite video game ninja.
Let me tell you something...i had an older Vietnamese friend that introduced me to this at 12 years old..and oh my goodness..i was hooked..forces u to love the Japanese culture. The soundtrack, the ambient banter and behavior of the guards. I chose this over ninja gaiden cause that shit was more arcadish. Why they havent updated this is beyond me. Good job brother and GGs to u.
This is the best game in the entire franchise, music is so good, I still listen to it on my player. Whole game setting is so good, being fantasy samurai, one of the best PS1 games :)
Spent so many hours on this game. It was so replayable. I was always trying to do flawless runs on each level.... Super satisfying!! Thanks for this. I'm gonna have to buy another copy now!. :)
This game changed everything for me game wise. First M rated game I played. It was very challenging and made my timing, and patience better when it came to playing games. The soundtrack is incredible. The music on the first official level (not the training) is beautiful
I was introduced to this franchise via a demo of the 2nd game on a ps1 demodisc Been hooked to it ever since, I proudly own this game and 2nd still to this day
This was one of the first games that got me interested in story within video games. I still go back every now and then to Tenchu 2 and just relive the winding journey of that narrative. Thank you so much for this!
Hey no problem, glad you're enjoying it, this was also trip back for me as I haven't played Tenchu in a really long time now, years and years, and it is still magical as it was before :)
last time i saw this game being played it was when I was an 8 year old boy watching my big sister, I'm 32 now, This game will always have a place in my heart. :)
I wish i could turn back the Time, everything seems wonderful, mom and dad yelling at me to stop playing this game, and still i keep playin. 😂😂😂 Thanks for reminding me for this precious moment.
Syphon Filter, Tenchu, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1, Star Wars Rebel Assault 2, Knockout Kings, Resident Evil 2 & 3, we had it all growing up
I completely fell in love with this game when I was a kid, I didn't quit playing until I got the grand master award in every single level! Absolutely brilliant game 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
They might be bringing it back for the Ps5 :) The creator Tukuma Endo has been thinking about bringing it back. But don't get your hopes up nothing is official. But him even thinking about rebooting it is insane!!!
I remember Mastering this Game as a Kid I did Speedruns just fun long before i knew that was even a Thing Completed every Level undetected and flawless without Damage (exept Bosses i guess) Loved the Sequel enen more and the Level Editor too Made a Ton of funny Levels and let Freinds play them Haven't played it in more then 20 Years... But it's right here on the Shelf 🥰
Bought it during my vacation in the US. Still my favourite PS1 Game and alltime Top5 for sure. Loved the code for the different levellayouts and completed them all with Ayame and Rikimaru.
The map was difficult to read back then I can't even remember how many times I got lost on certain levels definitely still one of my favorite games the soundtrack is legendary
This game is pretty awesome and cool but turns out to be pretty difficult without the analog sticks 😭 love the executions, it is so hard to be stealthy
Came here after knowing that FromSoftware was developing this game, but became Sekiro. Never played Tenchu before, but it's so crazy how they are both so similar. Sekiro has become my favorite games of all time.
My favorite part was fighting Onikage in the 9th level i think, at the top of that building. Tenchu 2 had a killer story line for each character. I wish they would remake it for PS5
It's about time they remastered this (without toning it down like they did later instalments) I used to love Tenchu. I could never get past a level without being seen though. This gameplay is great.
My first ever stealth gameplay on ps1 before Tom Clancy's splinter cell came along. Great memories. Though with this game, I had to watch it for 5 minutes before I recognized the gameplay.
The day I started fall in love with PlayStation after playing this at my friends place.. I think it was 1998 or 1999. Untill now I play and own PlayStation consoles Bcz of this game
Tenchu: Stealth Assassins, the pioneer to all stealth games. Without it, we wouldn't have Metal Gear Solid, Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed, Sly Cooper, Dishonored, Thief, and of course Tenchu's spiritual successor and 2019's Game of the Year, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
I couldn't remember this game name for the life of me cause I remember my dad playing this game and I think there is a second one , I love it !! Thank you!!!
I couldn't remember the name of this game but seeing the throat slitting action from behind def was the give away. Love seeing that blood splatter and then disappear like all games of the time did.
