Wattpad is also a way to gain more audience, before publishing your book. They do contests and help you get published. Most wattpaders have their books published or turned into movies, example: The Kissing Booth and After.
Some, not most, but yeah Wattpad is the best way to see if people love your writing or not
Yes, that's what I'm using atm. I'm trying to gain an audience but it's difficult.
What I'm worried about Wattpad you could get plagiarism before it's actually published. Better to go in one big sell.

jennifer smith I’m still doing research, I think a lot of what we eat contributes to our chemical imbalances, if you can explain it to her in this way maybe she’ll accept it better. Mental illness has such a stigma in our community, and Dr.’s are taught to put a patch on all illness instead of healing us. I’m still learning, leaning towards the wholistic approach ❤️ I hope this helps😊

I want to write a story about a girl and her friend geting bullied and they going to the library with her friend and she pulled a book out and it was a secret passage with a portal and it took her to a poor country to show her and her friend how lucky they are to even go to school and live in a nice house they can only come back when they see how lucky they are and they dont know that. Some retailers require traditional publishing so self publishing may not be your best route!

But im sorry, Im going to be that hard headed one thats going to try to edit their own book 😂 🤷🏽♀️ I'm literally going to do everything myself, because I don't want fame from this, I just want the accomplishment of having finished my own book. When I'm more successful (after getting my Masters) then I will do it the right way. Lol
Lol me too. I edit my own books. Have edited and published my own. I'm in the early stages of my book publishing journey but eventually with persistance and action I will achieve my goals.
Editing has nothing to do with fame...it is the quality of the finished product and how you present yourself to your customer. It will be hard to get repeat customers or referrals if your book has editing/grammatical errors. It is challenging to edit your own book because your brain begins to overlook errors because you’ve seen the manuscript so much.

No I wasn't saying editing is related to fame. I was saying that I'm not trying to become a famous author and I'm not looking for recognition from my first book which is why I said I don't plan on hiring an editor or spending any unnecessary amount of money when all I want is just a finished book as a self accomplishment. In the future if I want my book to be a best seller, then I will take the necessary steps for that to happen. Right now I just want to say I wrote a book 🤷🏽♀️ if people actually read it and like it, then thats even better.
Deja Carter What does editing have to do with fame? 😂 Editing is to have someone proofread your book. There’s a lot of mistakes that the writer doesn’t notice so it’s best to have fresh eyes look at your book. If I read a book and I find errors I’m judging the author and will probably stop reading the book . It’s about being professional not famous.

Thanks for the information I’m 11 In 6th and I want to write a book about a girl raised by wolves I want my audience to be around 7-14 and I want both of my aunts to help me with the cover and a friend to check for grammar mistakes, I’m also naming the book “Leaf Girl the girl raised by wolves” to make my title a little more fun and unique I just run though the base of the story that I have so far, first of all the story starts off with the time of the 1700 and it starts talking about how a 4 year old girl in an orphanage and that she was bullied a lot, and since the orphanage was to poor and the owners where mean, the floor was just dirt so she dug a hole and got out, that’s all I’m going to say so far and I’ll update the comment when I finally publish the book so you guys can check it out :)

So the base of the story is the fire signs want more power so they team up with the air signs and plan to take the water and earth signs power. The Water signs hear about this and team up with the Earth signs and they prepare for war.

My mom was a cancer patient and recently passed away, but she told me when she’s healed she wanted to make a book about her journey. God healed her and took her to heaven so I felt like it was my job to pursue her goal.
