You don’t need to, but I did because it’s my full-time business.
wow your videos are amazingly descriptive for a multitude of options for writers, marketing seems more fun, but for me, the difficult part is the technical aspects, like formatting in scrivener, and uploading to kdp from there, there are videos on scrivener, but not like yours, virtually anyone could watch your videos and know EXACTLY how to do it, without any confusion or unnecessary commentary, good job..

I see you haven't gotten an answer yet. I'm no expert but I would suggest contacting the US Copyright Office and see if someone can help you with this. Of course, this is if you are in the USA.

Is the book automatically copyrighted once it's published on the said platforms like Amazon?
To get an official registration, you would need to get a copyright through the Library of Congress.

Hello. Thanks for this video-very helpful content. You seem to suggest that “self-publishing”is for online/digital publishing and not hard copy printing for which there would be additional costs and steps. Do the platforms you mention have instructions for getting your book hard copy printed along with being digitally published? Thanks for clarifying.
Self-publishing is for both digital and physical copies of books. When you are uploading your book on Amazon for example, you will choose how you wish to publish whether its a Kindle version, paperback, or hardcover. I have my whole book completed, typed up, and printed out. I'm on Amazon KDP. I have Google Docs. I wrote testing on Google Docs to make sure I can download my file to Amazon. When I go to Amazon KDP and try to download it it says there is no document there. But when I go to Google Docs it is there. I love my book, I really want to get it out there. All I need is a space to type it and hit submit. I don't know what to do. When I download the manuscript on Amazon it says there is no document but when I go to Google Docs it's there. Can anyone help me with this?
