Thanks for the video. I found the Companies House links underneath very useful. Don't know how people like me are supposed to work out how to rectify issues without videos like this, so keep them coming!
No problem, John. Yes, we agree which is why we decided to do this topic. A lot of things do not come off as very self-explanatory as you would like to think! We shall definitely keep them coming. What topic would you in particular like to see?
it is difficult to believe that the solution to fixing a very simple mistake is so complex! However, Nick explains everything in a very clear and concise manner - as usual! Thank you Team 1st Formations for another very useful video.
We know, Graeme! We had a lot of feedback about this being an issue, so we absolutely had to make a video on the subject! We are glad you found the information useful. Has this ever happened to you before?
Very interesting and although it seems so minor it can cause many issues when the wrong date of birth is on Companies House and rectifying it ASAP is important. Thanks for another great video team! 🙂
Definitely and although it seems difficult to get your own date of birth incorrect, it does happen quite often and it’s great to see these ways to rectify it 🙂
Hello Nick! I was creating UK LTD company while I created company then I remembered my address is less and I can not receive authentication code on that address so how can I change my address please help me thank you so much.
Thank you for your kind enquiry, Anees. Your authentication code will be sent to your company's registered office address. The Companies Act 2006 requires the director(s) of your UK limited company to ensure they can always receive mail delivered to this address, as critical items of mail will often be delivered to the registered office address of the company. If you need to use a registered office address to receive mail to, you should consider using our professional Registered Office Address Service, which will provide you with a prestigious Covent Garden address listed on public record, and free scan and email mail forwarding on the same day we receive your mail. You can find out more details about this service here: www.1stformations.co.uk/registered-office-service/ Is this something you would find of use, or do you want to change your registered office address to something else?
Thank you, Denzel. You are right, such a small mistake can cause a big issue and it is widely overlooked. What else would you like to see in the coming weeks?

It’s good you pointed out that in smaller companies the Director tends to be the PSC 👨💼 and due to both positions being independent from one another, a separate action is required to rectify the officer’s details as both director and a PSC 🗄 Nice one 👍🏽 Also, loving the colour of the blazer! 😍

or... you can resign the director with the error, then reinstate them with the correct date of birth and save yourself all the hassle of filling out and sending in forms.
Thanks Andrew. The directors of a company have a general duty to ensure that the public record is kept accurate. Whilst some companies do occasionally cease an incorrect appointment before submitting a corrected one, it does not fix the original filing error, and hence is not generally recommended. Have you done this before?
