      I bought a Hluru Stainless steel 22 inch handpan. I'm a total novice but it sounds ok to me. Very pleased with it. Came well packaged and also in a hard case which afforded extra protection.

    This experiment with cheap handpans is interesting. I am very happy with my kurd d minor 9+1 handpan from Noblet. It was worth saving up for it for a long time.

    I'm luckily more into tonguedrums, but the Ravs are crazy expensive as well, even 2nd hand. For tonguedrums I recommend the Tonedrum and Pulsar Mini made by Maxim Yudin. Atm for 400 € plus shipping you get 11 perfectly tuned notes with the Tonedrum (but all scales with a C in the center) and my 15 tongue custom-scale Pulsar Mini was 840 €.

    hello!!!!! i like yours videos and carry on!!!
    I hesitate between a sela handpan and an ayasa handpan. but the prise is clearly the double for the ayasa. what do you prefer to chose if you had the choice between them? quality, sound and durability?
    thank you :p

    • @LouiseBurrows
      @LouiseBurrows 22 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Ayasa all the way. Sela make lots of different instruments. I expect they are probably therefore mass produced in China. Whereas Ayasa is a specialist handpan maker with long experience. You also want to consider if you ever need it retuned. Makers in your locality are more likely to agree to retune a Ayasa pan than a Sela.
      I purchased my first handpan on a leap of faith with my intuition back in 2018 and I'm very glad I had the means and felt the pull to buy from a proper handpan maker. It's meant that my pan family has gradually grown, but from the desire to try different scales, rather than out growing a sub par instrument. It was a better investment to spend a bit more in the first place than need to buy twice out of frustration for the sound. Hope that helps, and we look forward to welcoming you to the handpan club, which is full of lovely people! 🎉

      @@Exzeothat's a great choice for a first scale! Very popular so you are likely to be able to jam with others (my D Kurd is my jam pan) and friendly to learn! Hoping to get an Amara to add to my pan family soon as I think its a lovely scale! Have a great Christmas!

    I got a Temu Handpan 1 year ago, 180 American dollars, perfect 432hz but the ding or deep D note on the top is a little out of tune now, it was as advertised in the ad but it’s not very loud or good quality, took all the siding off exposing sharp edges but it rings out louder and more high end now, I was perfect to see if I was even gonna be able to play it cus I’m not a percussionist, and I can’t really play it well after a year so I will probably never buy a real quality one

    To start off, I like out of the ordinary sounds. This handpan sounded... Interesting.
    I am really curious how it actually sounds when playing it. It's out of tune, but in a disorienting way. Barely insulting but not enough to leave the room.

    Are you collecting boxes? But about the handpan. Just buy an Elaia handpan. You know you get an excellent handpan and it's for life. Maybe you have to tune it after many years. But any handpantuner would love to do it. You wont regret spending some extra money on a Elaia handpan. atleast, that's my opinion. Have a great week.

    super crazy to see how temu basically completely scams people with these instruments. that's not worth 500 pounds. i know a few beginner makers that make some lovely instruments for around 900 - 1000 which is the cheapest i've seen ever for a nice and in tune instrument. i recently got an F2 pygmy 13 from octopus handpan, it is lovely. it wasn't very cheap but it's more than worth it to have a nice instrument that is gonna stay in tune and stable for a long time. wish you a lovely holliday season amy and much lovee 🙏🙏

      @AmyNaylorMusic  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Ah yeah I've played a couple of Octopus pans they're nice! A good entry-ish price too.
      But it's true, anything up to around 800 or so, it could be ANY quality pan you're getting. There's no way of knowing. At least it's a big improvement from not so long ago when you could spend thousands on a trash can 🤦
