We head out to Nevada! Lake Tahoe, Virginia City, Carson City, Gold Hill...yeah, we took a western trip and had a blast! We hope you enjoy the highlights!
Very nice family vlog! Great to see the boys and you and Brittany spending quality time together ! I felt like I was there ! More vlogs like this please 😊
Great 2 see you all. I hope you have a great fun filled summer. As your boys have gotten older its become easier 2 do more as a family for you & i love that. They are definitely growing up for sure!!
The fact that you were able to afford gas, groceries AND bacon are highlights within themselves, lol. Did Brit sell her weight loss secrets so you could pay for that awesome trip? 😊 Glad you guys had fun!
@@AutismFamilyChannel That's awesome that he helps out, he seems like a nice guy. Connor should make an animation set in a saloon...and he can compose the music. Sorry for the Audhd randomness.
I have a strong sweet tooth myself. Seems like they seek the smell of the trees. I have found outdoors I noise is so much easier outside than inside which might be helpful and why the boys don't need the noise cancelling headphones. All 3 boys are doing so well.
What an awesome vacation! Makes me wish I was there. So good to see the whole family having fun and spending quality time together. Thank you for sharing that with us. I also wanted to say that Brittney (sorry if I misspelled her name) is spot-on about Alistair blocking out the input at the restaurant by hyperfocusing on his game. I have a game I like to play on my tablet that I can focus on completely and then I'm able to block out everything around me. It's a lifesaver. It's an online game called Tiles, maybe the boys (or you) are interested in trying that out!
What a great trip, Hope you all have a great time! Thank you for sharing, I lived in Incline for 15years, so nice to see all the familiar places. ENJOY! 😊
That looks like an awesome trip 👌🏼😊 I am amazed by how well the boys are doing every where you go. My boys can hardly go anywhere, but we will do small things that matters for them to have fun 🥰 I love the video 😍❤️
I live in Beaverton Oregon, and there are quite a lot of beautiful trails really close to where I live that I take walks on every week whenever the weather is nice outside. Since my profile picture is noble heart horse from care bears I like to imagine that I am noble heart horse walking through the forest of feelings when I am taking a walk on one of the nature trails that are really close to where I live. After all much of the Pacific Northwest which includes western Oregon is covered in lush rainforest.
No food issues with the boys. Remember the hockey game during the COVID pandemic was awesome on lake Tahoe. Allister I bite my finger and have a callus which has shrunk but never went away.
Ian what you do in your freetime 😮? Ilike listen to music! I hear hardstyle Trance! Do you like rave musik! I had a DJ his name is special d . Ilike the loveparade 😂! Techno Musik is good we like love and peace in the world! ❤
I usually like sweet foods but anything too sweet like Maple Sugar Candy sometimes causes sensory overload for me. This happened more when I was younger. I’m still on the spectrum (currently level one) but the symptoms tend to become more mild over time (at least on average). I’m now in my late 40s.
My parents took me to my autism screening appointment ( 1st step ) with my psychologist on Feb 27 2024 after I got out of school & she just asked me ASD related questions in the mix with my background life history not including my school records though . 4 months after that one my dad took me to my autism evaluation / assessment appointment ( 2nd step ) where my psychologist just tested my development functioning by doing puzzle pattern activities with me & I took the ASSQ 27 question test since Im 17 almost 18 in November . I believe my next appointment on July 3 will be when I receive my results if I'm anywhere on the spectrum but I always had a feeling after thinking about my life history being in speech pathology from kindergarten up to 3rd grade & struggling with social interactions that im probably autistic on the high functioning end . Autism family what do you think my results could be ?
Seeing the fallen pine tree branch reminds me that back in the 1980s the top of a pine tree in my back yard blew off during Hurricane Gloria and my parents used it as a Christmas Tree. In the early-to-mid 1980s it was cold enough during the Fall that as long as you were further north than Pennsylvania you could make that work (even if just barely).
I remember seeing Tombstone pizzas in one of my grocery stores a while back. I also remember seeing them advertised on TV occasionally. I haven’t had them but I wonder if they are good and if they are named after the movie.
I just remembered the word “saloon” started when someone wanted to have French-style 19th century salons in some of the towns where people could discuss philosophy, science, etc, but someone spelled it wrong and they ended up having to decide on what a saloon is. I forget the specifics but it is something along those lines.

Alistair might be able to bite his fingers less if he has some Tootsie Roll Pops to suck on. I find that it sometimes helps me when I get stressed out. To reduce the risk of cavities afterward he might try chewing a stick of ADA approved chewing gum. There are at least three or four brands available in pharmacies and some grocery stores. Most of them seem to be either cinnamon or bubble gum flavored. Occasionally you might also find some mint flavored ones here and there.
Wow, how time flies. The children are already so big.
Connor plays the piano so Beautiful I Love the sound of the piano
Have a awesome summer with your family hello to Ian Connor

@@Cartierscott , yeah! what about Alistair?

What kind of pines do you have in Utah and can you make pine needle tea with them? (I.e are they a poisonous variety?)
Lodgepole, white pine, ponderosa, etc
Very cool

Probably high functioning like you said but they give different levels now instead of high or low functioning etc.
@@AutismFamilyChannel what do you mean by other levels & which ones do your kids have ?

The piece that Connor is playing is sometimes performed at weddings so it’s a pretty good piece to play in a wedding chapel.
