Curious if your jointer planer combo has the same issue as mine -- I used a Paolini Pocket Rule from Woodpeckers to check to see if the outfeed table is coplanar with the carbide cutters and it seems the carbide cutters are just a smidge higher. Under a millimeter, but there's been some chatter when face planing, so I'm not sure if it's related?
I don’t think I have that issue but the in feed table is not coplanar. I have better luck with the planar. The joint does better on edges than faces in my experience
@@handyhomerepairs If that's the case, then maybe a separate planer and joiner would make more sense? Mine has been decent so far, but for what it costs, I can't expect to perform like a $5000 Felder jointer planer combo
When I bought it I wasn’t expecting it to work for long pieces when jointing and it is difficult. I have to work out if my garage and actually but the tool on locking wheels so it’s good for being mobile. The planing works good on pieces that are not too much larger than the table. I have a good table saw so I use it for long pieces I have to joint
