Install or Replace Split Rail Fence - Remove Rotten Posts and Add to Existing Pressure Treated
We replaced a section of split rail fence because the posts had rotted and the rails were no longer in place. Had to dig out the old rotten posts and replace with new ones from Home Depot. The rail length is an almost 11 feet, but they fit into 10 foot sections with the overlap and taper.

    Cross drilled and/or slotted rotors are not necessary, and definitely not "better" than standard rotors. It all depends on the application. Cross drilled rotors are great for cooling, but it's less surface area for braking. You might not think it's much, but it is, especially on a truck that may be towing. Slotted rotors keep your pads cleaner, but they wear your pads much quicker by scraping the uppermost layer of your pad as you drive, which also creates more brake dust, ceramic pads or not. In short, unless you are racing your vehicle on a track weekly, standard rotors are the most practical for your vehicle and your money. Do what you will, though. I used to think that they looked awesome on any vehicle. Now I point and laugh.

    Great video, I've used my Ryobi cordless 1 gal compressor with my framing nailer for small jobs because of the mobility , compact and light weight instead of lugging my 6 gal plug in compressor , i get about 3 maybe 4 nails before compressor kicks in and i can get 8 or 9 nails in before i get a proud nail. Works great for small stuff, for bigger jobs i lug the 6 gal plug in craftsman or Porter cable, we have both and both work great. Well they all work great.

    First of all, fantastic video! Question for you... I bought the Huum Drop 6.0kW heater with the Uku Wifi control and I'm doing the wiring myself. Like a dummy, I ran 10/2 wire instead of 10/3 wire... Will the sauna heater + controller + temp sensor + door sensor work with the 10/2? Is it just light function that I'm sacrificing without 10/3?

    • @handyhomerepairs
      @handyhomerepairs 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think you are ok and it is only for the lighting. The heater does not use the neutral and all the other parts (except lighting) just have low voltage wiring running to them. I assume low voltage because all the components connect with thin wires like use use for a door bell or old school hardwired phone

    Why not use a 20amp breaker for 4.5 KW ? I only ask because when I did the Converse it came out to 18.75 amps

    • @handyhomerepairs
      @handyhomerepairs 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      For continuous load circuits you need to calculate the amperage at 125% because they want you to allow extra overhead to compensate for heat dissipation since the conductors will be carrying high load for long stretches of time. Check the local wiring codes since every municipality is different.

    Just did this last night. I decided to wait on my bottom course of tile until the tub was refinished. Installed and grouted all the rest of the tile. That way, finish would run underneath bottom course of tile. Unfortunately, a stupid bug flew into the epoxy after I went to bed. And there are little hairs in it... not overly visible, but their in there for sure. It looks WAY nicer than before, but it's definitely not perfect. I also did not tape overflow, and no epoxy went into it.

    cool build. how did you avoid having the screws that hold to the rails on one side of the center divider avoid colliding with the screws holding up the rails on the other side? it doesn't seem like the ply is thick enough to hold two screws coming from the same spot on opposite faces.

    • @handyhomerepairs
      @handyhomerepairs 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The screws were just slightly shorter than the full thickness of the board. When you put the screw in it is not perfectly aligned since you are eyeballing it and unless you are super unlucky they never hit for me. The number of screws per rail is way more than it will ever hold. When the systainer is in the rail there is not much gap so it is holding the rails with an outward pressure that keeps them from breaking down. I have the router, cordless track saw with batteries and other heavy tools and none have even a slight wiggle after over a year of use so it all is still very stable. I attached the back in several places to the wall so it very rigid

    A little research would have done a long way. The manufacture has multiple videos should how to properly use this. The cup that you covered the drain with should have been used to pour the product. If don’t properly you really don’t need the roller

    • @handyhomerepairs

      Yes I watched all their videos and they used the cup. The kit also did not include a scooper so I followed their recommendations and made one with duct tape. The roller is not for traditional painting but you use it to spread the material around and even the surface or it will pool in some areas.

    • @handyhomerepairs
      @handyhomerepairs 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @krissthewis I wanted 3” deep which is one quarter. 12” in a foot, so 3/12 to convert from inches to feet. An easy example, if you measured 10’ x 10’ square that is 100 ft2 in 2 dimensions but you are in feet and deciding to use the thickness in inches so you need to convert it to feet to get all the math in the same measurement. If you wanted the mulch 1 foot thick you would have 100 ft3, but you want 3” which is a quarter that thickness (3/12 or 1/4) … 100 * 3 / 12 = 25 … 25 is a quarter of 100. Sorry if that was more confusing haha

    One thing I wish I had done was to keep a small bottle of the unmixed ekopel to fix a few minor repairs after drying.

      Yes, thought I’m not sure how long it would last once ingredients exposed to air. They sell a touch up kit but expense for a small patch. I still have some small areas I want to try to smooth with high grit sanding but still afraid to make it worse if I can polish it correctly

    I should clarify about the holes in the drain. In many cases you want them down so the water floods up. Because I have clay, I want the water to have to come in from the top thru the most aggregate.

      You are using the tile set and not the grout product? If you are using the tile setting, when the tile falls off is the mortar still wet? If so, you are either mixing it a little too wet or the surface you are trying to stick to is too wet. Maybe water is leaking from the other side of the concrete?

    hi, let me know the size of punch to remove pin and where i can buy the punch

    • @handyhomerepairs
      @handyhomerepairs 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The punch is 3/16" (about 5mm), so you can use anything that size or small such as 1/8" (about 3 mm) or 1/16" (about 1.5mm). I added a link in the description of the video for a cheap set on Amazon. You can buy punch sets at Home Depot, Lowes, or any automotive set. Just search for "Pin Punch" and check the tool has a flat end instead of some that are rounded.

    Your sauna looks amazing. Thank you for the video. I found it to be extremely helpful for my build. You explanation of he bench bracket, and high temp watertight conduit was very helpful. I'm installing the HUUM 7.5kW and had no idea high temp awg wire was a thing. I found Taking extra time to research is critical to the success of sauna building.

      Thank. That’s awesome you were able to build a sauna too. I know it takes longer and maybe some people think they are necessary, but I only want to do a job once instead of having to come back later and fix a mistake. I also want things to be safe for my family.

    Hi. Thanks for the video- I just bought the CT15 extractor and have been carrying around this extractor from my home to another space that I use for my sanding. Each time im done sanding, I have to pack the hose in a trash bag to bring it back home. Which also means I have to disconnect the hose from its socket inside the extractor- this causes a mess with sawdust falling all over the place. If i purchase this garage, would I be able to NOT disconnect the hose from its socket inside the extractor and just curl it up and house it... ? Thanks....

    • @handyhomerepairs
      @handyhomerepairs 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @cavalli821 yes! I just tried it with mine and it bent easily while still plugged in to the vac port and wound nearly inside the garage even with the electric plug. This is with the gray hose that comes with the vac. I don’t think it would work well with one of the larger green hoses since they are more rigid and won’t bent at such a tight radius.

      @@handyhomerepairs Thanks so much! Curious if it might void the warranty given that the garage is not meant for the CT15. May be i can try it after 3 years once my warranty expires lol

      If you sent it in for service with the new top you may have an issue. I just kept the old cover. It’s only a few screws to change so you can always go back to the original. There are no electrical or other special connections, just a plastic top.
