The whole questline with the Baron, his wife and the Crones was amazing and authentic, in a way. It wasn't happy or uplifting, it was a grey story of a lost drunk, a sad woman, their complicated past, and a child...well, two children, actually. I loved every interaction with the Baron, who despite everything he did still made me feel sad and sorry for him. And I really wanted to help him and his wife reconcile. Anyway, I'm rambling - the music is great, thank you for extending it.
Didn't realize there was multiple ways the quest could end. Mine didn't go very well for the Baron lol. And I also missed playing him for his Gwent card. Doh.
For the Gwent card, I think you can still get it from his desk after his...departure, so to speak. But yeah, multiple endings to this quest was a surprise to me as well, even more so that all of them were kind of sad. Sorry if I'm spoiling anything, but even if the Baron gets his wife back, she's ends up kind of crazy, not to mention his daughter probably still hating him.
just finished the barons questline. it was amazing. the whole darkness of the quest sometimes was like wow. and the crones even; they were scary to me.
Red baron and Ladies of the forrest were the best quest lines in wither 3.... the characters were deep and choices hard...
@Marcel Faust Literally after you finish it, Geralt talks about how seemingly good deeds can sometimes harm others, and how seemingly evil deeds can benefit others as well. Brilliant questline. Great music, great atmosphere, and great writing. Love how the two quests, "Cirri quarreling with the witches" and "Anna gone missing" intertwines and comes full circle.
I love this track. Perfectly captures that overwhelming sense of dread and unease that the Crones and Crookback Bog itself evokes. The Crones are already revolting enough, but with this playing during their scenes you really feel like you're watching something cruel, hungry, and depraved.

Something female and something very, very close to nature and to the darkest places of the woods. Just how this theme makes me feel.
The Swamp storyline really got me into the game in a big way. Witcher was really on another level, it felt so damn satisfying to master the combat. To understand what you are fighting gives you so much more of an advantage. There won't be anything this good for a long time.

The scene where Geralt meets the crones is one of the best in the entire game. The creepy, unsettling atmosphere filled with dread is captured perfectly.
I found this music very unsettling. Actually gave me very anxious feeling like someone was constantly stalking you in the shadows or somehwere where you can't see. I was so happy to get out ot the swamp after over hour doing the quest there. Damn those ladies also. But still I have to give huge credit on how well this music works with the setting on the swamp and overall questline.
The music is what elevates the atmosphere to legendary status

The music, the location, the atmosphere, the crones themselves, they all fit together perfectly. Geniously creepy. This location I visited the most just for the music and overall feeling. Awesome
The first time I saw this scene, my jaw slowly dropped. Very strong memories I will not forget soon.

Honestly, this was the section of the game that I hated the most. Don't get me wrong, brilliantly done, amazingly written. But it was so gross, so horrifying and so miserable that whenever I see the Velen swamps I want to throw myself off a cliff.

Im still on my 1st play though of 3 after trying it, this is the track thats stuck in my head as a classic to last the test of time. that string plays creepy in a good way. so now ive got 1,2 of the game. im currently on 1 playthough but i cant wait to be back on 3 XP
When I was playing I was just a lowly Witcher😂 both the ambience and the dialogue took a dark turn when I met the Crones… easily my favourite part of the game

The Crones of Crookback were the witches names.
This music, so good! After a couple of playthroughs I find the baron storyline kind of boring, but the witches of crookback bog is still a brilliant part of the velen storyline. Their voices, their appearances, great villains.

Is there any chance you can make combat theme from Crookback Bog area? It's "...Steel For Humans" from OST but a very short one, the in-game version is better in my opinion. Can't find it on TH-cam in good quality :)
Strange, this sounds like a different version compared to the normal one with the vocals. This seems wayy darker.
I think you are mixing it up with the "Child of the elder blood" one.
Anyone knows where I can find the vocal version? The one playing when ciri arivces in the bóg and is found by the ladies

The game was epic until their quest, I’m now in skellige. And since then the game downgraded deeply for me, from a epic game, it’s now a good game, I remember people saying the game had no fetch quests or boring stuff to do far from the truth, too many fetch quests, too many useless exclamation points, the battle mechanics are bad, and for the game to not be too easy, even on death March, you can’t use the game mechanics, play it naked, first fighter no alchemy, and it might be balanced

And that's only because of preparation of of what I was going to face..
@@Wildjason888 sorry for that bro, but death March is only hard if you are playing it first time blind and until 8-9, but the story telling is great, but the ladies were not great, they were epic, it’s a good game, and for a bit of challenge, restart a fresh game on death March, but if you got the hang of the combat system, even this levels are not that hard, it’s a great game overall, but not challenging

When the attack patterns of drowners and wolves and other enemies have been figured out..
I'm just starting blood and wine when I do NG plus it's going to be Death March the entire way..
I have played thousands of hours of Grand Theft Auto Skyrim and Fallout..3,4 NV and Dark Souls 1 2 and 3..
The Witcher is absolutely in a league of its own I have never played a game like this ever..

Every Quest has its own little thing about it
more like an hour of the same 3mn loop (awesome, btw). Listen to the full 60mns and resurect eredin. Or have your brain so traumatized with repetition that it turns liquid and runs through your nose and ears. Happy new year, folks !
