    Question, I’m new to the hobby and was confused by your motor choice. Tekin says the voltage limit for the T8 at 6s is 1350kv... How were you able to utilize the 2000kv without risk to equipment?

As for the receiver, I have about 25 Futaba receivers currently (ill do the math for you - at an average of $70 a receiver, that’s over $1700). If I have never owned or driven an RC, is this something a beginner could do?

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would start with one of their 1/10th scale 4wd trucks. The Kraton EXB is a massive truck and has a ton of power/batteries to go along with it. Under the use of a beginner, it could be dangerous

  • @craigpoer
    @craigpoer 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dieing to see how that motor holds up. My kraton weighs 12lb and will heat up my castle 2200kv pretty fast. Do you have a weight of truck with batteries. It is so cool to see your videos and tips. Such a clean install

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It did fine - it did get warmer than I'd like, but well within the working temps of that motor. I have a killer motor here now and it should alleviate some heat, get me a few teeth up on the pinion and have much more torque. Not sure on the weight - I'd guess 10-11lbs range with batts

    Hey Rich love the channel but don't you think 2000 dollars for a RC car is a little extreme? Pun intended. Trust me I would love to spend 2k on a extreme build like this. anyway I was wondering if you have any budget build videos? • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly, it was the items I had here at the shop...sure you don't have to spend a ton of money on a basher.....but I wanted to see the difference between this set up and your typical Arrma stock electronics.....Also, I don't think it's quite $2k - Example, truck is $469, Tekin combo is $319, servo is $70 (look for a deal). Radio and batteries are usually up to the builder....as these are typically an on hand item - especially for a kit or roller build. Lastly, my last budget build I did was on a OFNA Hyper Vse with about an $800 budget. I even ended up giving the buggy away along with the budget build I did on a 2wd buggy prior. It seemed like the typical complainers came out saying "blah blah blah is cheaper - you shoulda used that". "What about a charger? - you didn't include that". "what about tools, paint, grease, etc". I get criticism, and opinions, but wow!

      And well worth every Penny! The RX8 Gen3 is my favorite 1/8thh scale ESC, hands down...much smoother than the HW and it has a slightly better programming interface with the Bluetooth app. I've probably owned 10+.

      The combo - RX8 Gen 3 and the Tekin T8 Truggy Motor (bit.ly/39v6KxK) is $319 before coupons/discounts...I get conversion to CA$$, but don't exaggerate.
